    Hi friends,

Although in recovery and doing much better than a few weeks ago, I still feel a strong pull to procrastinate and a lack of motivation to do my work.

I am currently working from home and I hope you guys could provide some tips on how to fight procrastination and increase motivation.

    Thank you!

I recommend writing goals down. This helps me a lot to get stuff done and try to get specific. For example try writing a goal down to get work done at a specific time during the day and placing it somewhere you see it often like in your bedroom or office. This helps me a ton

This works, as I do it myself.

  6. Thank you, and good streak brother!

The problem I had was getting motivated to do yoga in the morning.

If I got up and ate breakfast, I was never going to do it during the day.

But I didn't want to get straight up and start yoga at 7 am.

What I realized was that that tendency to procrastinate

    gets weaker.

So when I don't want to do something, I FORCE myself to do it anyway.

I don't expect life to be full of pleasure all the time.

But I am willing to put myself through that suffering to achieve.

That's how I break through, by making myself do it anyway,

    without delay.

  7. Personally, I think procrastination comes from the fact that the goal is not important enough for us. Or that we haven't yet found our "why I should do it". Or a why that is strong enough.

If you tell a person who smokes that if he keeps smoking, his son will die. And if that's a fact, that person will stop.

Procrastination doesn't exist in my opinion. I know it's not everyone's view. But if we're putting off what we need to do, it's because our interest in this thing isn't strong enough.
