Thanks for sharing your experience with me.

I've been doing prone on and off for about two years on a firm mattress, just discovered it myself out of the blue, without realizing the consequences. I lifted my hips, but I always tried to trust as gently as possible and stop when it got painful, which never did. One day I found that my libido had dropped significantly, and later that year I discovered that I have completely lost sensation on the right side of my genitals, including the scrotum and testicles, the parts I do feel are numb to temperature, it turns out that the body is very smart about covering it up, making it seem like you can feel it.

So the urologist didn't know what it was and the neurologist thinks some small nerve branches have been damaged and that it may take up to two years to heal, or it may not heal at all. I have stopped masturbating for over 6 months now, and it hasn't improved at all, how was that for you?

  2. After 2 months I was back to normal, better than ever. You might have some permanent damage but I have no way of knowing

Hello people i have found this site by accident but i think it was meant to be. I have been prone masturbating since i was about 12 years old and now i am 44. I discovered something was wrong years ago when i realised the only way to attain erection was to push against the mattress very hard. I believe i got into this habbit because of a very conservative upbringing and my father or any other males in the household never discussing anything sexual whatsoever. Even tho i am the age i am i have never had a relationship and when i did attempt sex twice i failed miserably because of not being stimulated enough and not being able to get hard which made me totally give up on relatiosnships and i continued with porn and prone masturbation. I am so glad to find there is support for this because i thought i had some sort of issue with my hardware and even had doctors conduct a Cystoscopy procedure a few years ago where they look into the penis and bladder through a scope. they found nothing unusual. I truly thought what i was doing all these years was absoloutley normal until 1 week ago when i found the research document of someone who has carried out studies into (TMS traumatic masturbation syndrome)
Also i have hardly any sensitivity in my penis upon hand stimulation which i believe is due to years of pushing quite hard and vigoursly against the mattress and also i have had like a burning sensation from time to time throughout my adult life. I hope we fellow sufferers can discuss this issue further on this platform and perhaps help each other.

Thanks for your reply, I'm glad that it got better for you.

I think I might have permanent sensory nerve damage, even though everything else is functional otherwise.

Does prone masturbation ever heal or is it mostly permanent if you prone masturbate to porn and then lose your libido a day after? I also have sensations in my head. My penis seems to be in an eternal flatline state. In the past as of 2017, I had hints of libido and semi-erections (after this issue started). Really sucks.

I'm afraid that in some cases it is permanent, I started to lose libido and feeling in my genitals a year and a half ago, and all I can think of is prone masturbation, which I discovered and started doing from 2017 to 2019, without knowing the consequences. One day I just lost my libido and I didn't know why, did some testosterone tests, which came out right, it took me about a year to realize I've lost most of my sensation in my genitals, don't ask how.

I have been abstaining from masturbation for over 6 months now, in terms of libido and sensation nothing has changed, but abstaining from porn has helped me regain my mental health, which turns out to be quite an important factor, especially in the case of physical damage.

These are the things that should be taught in schools, not just about the dangers of prone masturbation, but the negative effects of porn in general.

Damn. Well I've had hints of libido, so I don't see why or how I'm damaged. Is your dick flaccid like in a flatline? Maybe I just need more time to abstain? My case can't be permanent...right?

I've only abstained for 8 days. In prior streaks, I've had wet dreams and during times in 2017, I had hints of semi-erections and libido.

  9. I've had my dick go limp for weeks during a period of "flatline" or whatever they call it. I just focused on life, forgot it was there, and it came back. Might have had morning erections during that time, can't remember. Don't see it as a bad thing.

I see. Yeah, I've just had hints of libido and can get semi erection if I stroke it but then I also have the mental brain fog symptoms and a flatline small dick that recedes into my pelvis with lost girth.

  11. I wouldn't mess with it, just focus on the reboot.

Well in my case I probably have actual nerve damage in my genitals, the right side is completely numb including the scrotum and both testicles, the parts I feel, mostly on the left side, have a reduced sensation and a complete absence of temperature sensation, but everything is still functional, I can get strong erections and be able to ejeculate.

There is physical and physiological arousal, so when the physical part breaks down, it is difficult to rewire yourself to become physiologically aroused.

I can feel temperature on my genitals, and I can mentally feel aroused but I feel no actually happy chemical feelings or excited. it's like...numbed out? Hard to describe, I also have a lot of boredom going on mentally.

Did you have legit numbness or just reduced sexual sensation? I’m dealing with actual numbness. I can still feel pain if I pinch the skin really hard but other than that I get almost nothing around the base of the shaft. Doctors don’t want to do anything other than a physical exam and find nothing.

Your situation matches mine almost to a tee except I feel more numbness on the underside and around the base. Finally found somebody with similar symptoms!

If you pinch the skin on the numb areas can you feel pain?

Hey , I have been doing prone masturbation for the last 8 years. Mostly once in a week . I fear that I might have PE and my penis is a bit deflected to the left . Is it peyronie's? let alone the anxiety I'm having about all of this. I really need someone's opinions on PE & peyronie's

The entire right side of my genitals, penis, scrotum and testicles is completely numb, not only the skin but also underneath, the left side still has a sense of pressure, but no temperature sensation. I don't have any erectile or ejactulation problems, but my libido has dropped significantly so I think it's mostly visual stimulation, rather than physical. Apart from the right side, the rest of the foreskin is the only part that has a normal sensation.

For example, if I were to squeeze a patch of numb skin between my fingernails hard, or with tweezers, I would still feel something, but it's faint.

Damn that’s almost exactly like me. Yours sounds a bit worse than mine but mine hasn’t improved at all in almost 5 years. The longest I’ve been able to abstain was a month. You went 6 months and nothing? Jesus

You’d think that since we can still feel some amount of pain, that the nerves wouldn’t be totally dead, but mine sure aren’t healing either

Peripheral nerves are more resilient than motor nerves, but after five years it is safe to assume it won't get better.

For me it could be two years, I have abstained from prone masturbation and masturbation for well over half a year without improvement.

All I was able to figure out is that branches 5 6 7 are affected, can also be anything above branch 3.
