The advice you give is not recommended for most recovering addicts...it will work fine for you becoz u have more than 380 days of semen retention, that means you have control over your lust.

For recovering addicts like me who are reading this....caution is advised. Visiting an escort during recovery is like playing with fire. Let us overcome our addictions first before experimenting.

 

I do not think that the STI's and STD's one might catch are sacred. Also supporting that sort of behavior is not that ethical to me. Sure your intentions might be somewhat acceptable but that does not mean that there are some sex addicts and creeps that are paying her and lusting over her. As you support her financially and agree with her profession, you are further helping it to continue.

In an "ideal" world where there is no lust your experience and opinion might work but in real life? idk.

Of course this is only my opinion and I believe in more conservative view of the world. In no way your experience is wrong - I just think that it is not for everyone and it has a lot of risks to it. Also trying to find a prostitute who is generally a good person etc. what you said can be difficult and time consuming. I do not think that recovering p*rn addicts should go out and look at prostitutes to find "the right one". It could do them a lot more harm than good.

i live in a country where prostitution is legal, and no, it did/does not lower the overvaluation of female smv. this is a cultural phenomenon, fed by the (social) media & apps, movies, and can only be challenged or brought down by bringing down and/or challenging those same outlets. also, thomas aquinas is a saint and what you quoted might be true, but he'd never advocate for prostitution, since its a sin to have sex outside of marriage. i always think of it like this: imagine you have a little daughter, or maybe you do, or do know a little girl - can you dare to think it would be good if she'd be a prostitue one day?

Well this really hit home. But for someone with an addictive personality it can be turbulent waters. If one can pull it off without getting addicted or reliant. Then it's really good and not something to frown upon. I'd pick this than jerking off to porn or simping to a toxic gf for sex.
Especially if you go for the high end model looking escorts.
Personally I do not indulge in any vices drinking or smoking or drugs.

Something tells me you're taking St. Thomas Aquinas out of context. The same Saint who when his friends put a woman in his room so he could get "laid", chased said woman out of his room with a fire poker because of his love chastity and God, would hardly approve of the existence of brothels.


Edit: Seems I was correct and it was Aquinas quoting Augustine. Neither of which supported the decriminalization of prostitution or claimed them to be moral goods but said they are evils which might be tolerated by civil authorities in order to protect a society from other graver evils.

Prostitution won't help people who can't get into relationships. I think this is a major misuderstanding of the incel phenomenon.
