Question: Are the news and material that the page is supposed to mail relevant?

Hello, I am new here, I subscribed a week and a half ago and I am yet to recive any news from the site in my email, I confirmed both times, when I registered and when I signed up to the forums, I also clicked the confirmation link, but after more than a week I havent seen anithing.

So I was wondering: maybe they have not much stuff to send, or there is not much out there to send at all. But there is also the possibility that I missed a step or something.

I am personally interested in scientific facts and pschological information that can be usefull to reinforce my efforts, the bad things of it and usefull advice. I readed some of the main topics of the home page, and found it to by very usefull and would like to know if I am missing out of something.

Firstly may I say welcome to Nofap and well done for connecting as you have.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question with regards to receiving news updates, as that's beyond my (unpaid) pay grade, as I'm only a volunteer, but a week and half is quite a short time, so maybe be wait a 2-3 weeks more, as mails might come out monthly.

That said, if you are really interested in this topic then (from a personal perspective), I would highly recommend you getting the following books if you are interested in the psychology and neuroscience behind addiction in general and porn and masturbation issues in particular:

Book List:

Out of the Shadows - Patrick Carnes
The Porn Trap - Wendy & Larry Maltz
The Brain That Changes Itself - Norman Doige

Lots of thanks!!! I will put these on my to do list, I also found the "getting started" text so that will do for now, I understand the fact that new articles or so may not be available so often, but now I am hooked with this page, Its been very usefull

I just finished the starter guide and went ahead to look for the books but couldnt find a free digital copy, there was one site but who knows what format it was because i couldnt open it, however, if you know a trust worthy site i will get them on a blink.
