Read, Go outside, learn a language, learn to cook, play a board game, make a company, learn an instrument, make digital music, go skydiving, travel across the world, become a politician, do something crazy, and more!

I always find it weird when people say “quitted” instead of just “quit” ...but apparently either way is grammatically correct (according to google).

Don’t quit video games, huge mistake. They keep you focused and away from triggering thoughts (at least for me)

  5. I wouldn't straight up stop playing videogames for the rest of your life. Life can be pretty stressful and videogames are a good release. However, I would definitely put personal education, self-improvement, and your career plans first.

I also wouldn't play all day. I like to do 1-2 hours when I have time.

  6. I did something similar and quit social media as that was wasting my time.

  8. I wouldn't quit video games, but keep a close watch on your gaming habits. Make sure they are not infringing on any aspect of your health.

  9. Definitely exercise, read some good books, enjoy the weather outside, play some sports, etc.

  10. Last time I played was Tekken 7 with a group of friends. I'm not missing games at all. Yet I can't see myself banishing video games for the rest of my life, in fact, I would be okay playing 2 hours max per day or on weekends only.

I quit playing video games because being on the computer was a trigger for me. I don't regret it at all. I've had so much more time to do things that are productive and meaningful. If you think about it, video games are a good release, great recreation if you do it with friends, but there's not really much personal gain from it. I'm sure they're ok in moderation as some have stated above; I quit completely and I have no regrets though. That's just my experience.

I've never really understood the point of playing Video Games once you grow up. Give it up for real life !

Reading a book, lifting some weights and learning to cook healthy food will produce results in the future... Leveling up a character in WoW or whatever people are playing simply won't.

  13. Your post gave me an insight of something I was thinking during my time in NoFap. I see many gamers spending hours of their time improving their skills to be good in their favorites games, I was one of those gamers indeed. My abstinence gave me a lot of time to think about it and I realized that I was just wasting my time in something that would get me nowhere. In fact, games are in my life for 20 years, it is very hard to see them 100% outside of my life at the moment. To be honest, I have more fun reading a book than playing games.

    Hi Guys,
I has quit videogames since 49 days and I feel better, Videogames was a escape from the reality for me. Also Porn and Videogames have a lot of similitudes. Live your live in real world, that's my advice.
