Quran Recitation Challenge [2025]

أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهُۥ ۖ وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِٱلَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍۢ
Is Allah not sufficient for His servant? Yet they threaten you with other ˹powerless˺ gods besides Him! Whoever Allah leaves to stray will be left with no guide. (39:36)

Recently came across this verse and haven't been able to get it out of mind. Especially as I have not been doing well in recovery, I can't help but question myself: Is Allah not enough? Truth is, I want Him to be enough for me. I want Him to be enough of a companion and guide for me. Yet I continue to turn to other means/people/escapism and then get hurt in the process because none of those things can give me the peace, comfort and support that I can get from Allah SWT.

May Allah help us all to find peace and comfort in Him. May He become sufficient for all of us, ameen.

Surah الواقعة
Surah تین رکوع) الحدید)

(Parah: 27, Surah: 56, Verse No: 88-89)
فَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ (88) فَرَوْحٌ وَ رَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ (89)
Then if the one dying is of those who are close (to Allah). So (for such) is relief, and flowers, and gardens of peace.

Al-Baqarah ٢:١٢٣ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلَا تَنفَعُهَا شَفَٰعَةٌ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul[1] at all, and no compensation will be accepted from it, nor will any intercession benefit it, nor will they be aided.

Al-Baqarah ٢:١٦٤
إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلَّتِى تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن مَّآءٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَٰحِ وَٱلسَّحَابِ ٱلْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allāh has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason.
