    What are your thoughts on reading erotica, a lesser evil or just as bad?

    I feel that reading is Erotica will do you no good. It is just a substitute. Think about it....

    I almost think it's worst. When I started out, I would start reading it after about 2 weeks clean, thinking it wasn't as bad as regular porn. The problem is your brain starts to have that same "bathing in dopamine" effect that watching porn without masturbating has. The amount of gratification it can provide is excessive, and creates one hell of a chaser effect.

    So even if it doesn't literally set you back as much as regular porn, it usually just leads straight back to it anyway.
