Realistic Timeline for No PMO Recovery

Here's a formula I've made up that I've felt gives you a ballpark estimate of how long you should expect your recovery time to be, based on the amount of time you were addicted.

Here it is,

1 X Number of years you've been addicted to pornography = Minimum Number of months you need for significant recovery.

--Example, I was addicted for 10 years, and therefore needed 10 months before I reached my peak recovery.

These numbers are cumulative, so even though you may relapse here and there, your progress isn't completely lost. I would add another 5 days for every relapse however.

You are absolutely right on that. You can apply a bunch of other factors too, like frequency of viewing per day, the particular content of pornography viewed, secondary factors like diet, lifestyle, mental health, stress, etc

Hence they are ball park figures, which can give you a rough idea of where you stand. You can plus or minus a few months depending on the factors you and I mentioned.
