is because the people there have no morals. i have done stuff in life i'm ashamed of. i have no friends. i cant even talk to someone or confront anyone. so it's easy for me to watch porn actors there.

most of the stuff i watch include betrayal of some relation or some form of taboo and i watch it cause the actors are okay with breaking morals, so i sort of envy the actors cause they are at least for 5 or 10 mins(when they are engaging in the sex), they seem happy and so loving.

also it's the connection the actors have with each other. they love each other, at least in the film and there's so much acceptance and support.

  2. One thing to really ingrain in your mind, as difficult as it may be to believe, is that all of that is a big fat lie. They're called actors for a reason. They don't love each other, they don't accept each other. Many involved, particularly the women (and men) who have been forced into porn, probably DON'T approve of the morals being broken. They probably find what they're doing to be disgusting and degrading, but they do it anyway either because they're forced or because they're too wrapped up in the value of money.

A better way to deal with your issues is to open up about your regrets and find someone, or multiple people, who accept you and love you anyway. Watching porn is just living in a fantasy and ignoring the real problem. Please don't buy into the lies.

I have a few people who accept me for my flaws. But i find it easier to indulge in self-pity and watch porn. I know i should stop feeling sorry for myself, but i dont know how...

That is a profound statement you made at the end and I search for the answer to that every day. I don't know how to stop feeling sorry for my self either. This may be at the very root of why I continue to struggle every day during my reboot process.

Thanks, and that is why i watch porn because it takes me to a fantasy world. i read the article thanks for it. but i also read the comments. ugh, now i'm confused what to think.

but to be honest porn takes me to a fantasy world and thus i watch it. in porn everyone is perfect and happy(at least they appear to be).
it's like a kid playing a video game. the kid knows the video game isn't true but still it's an escape mechanism and major stress buster.

thus i watch porn as it takes me away from my life.

    Hey recoome,

I know that when I first started talking about my addiction I thought I was the only guy in the world that struggled the way that I did. When I found there were other people struggling, I got some perspective that it is not my unique flaws that led me to that place. PMO cuts off our social connection and makes socializing very stressful for some people, it did for me.

I know life is not fair, I know that life may not even have a meaning but I know that I am not alone. To get some perspective on having a tough time go here.

You've just unplugged from the matrix. That world isn't real. This one is. And it's pretty great out there.

understand you can have that same feeling and sexual energy, and use it in a more natural and healthy way... instant gratification is ur enemy.. when u don't fap, insecurities go away, your more confident, and most importantly that urge to watch porn will turn into an urge to talk to girls. an urge not a resistance to girls.. the reason your are continuing in this cycle, is because your not asking yourself, "how is it that other guys are successful in their journey and I'm not?" its not because they want this more than you, its because the key to anything that gives you resilience against resistance, is to remind yourself in someway, when the urge hits you to watch porn, that you want to succeed. What your doing is your allowing these thoughts to filter through and your dabbling in them until you reach the point where the urge is too strong.. THE FIRST THOUGHT THAT HITS YOU IS WHEN YOU ATTACK IT WITH A "REMINDER" (your brain is not disciplined enough to be naturally reminded of how much you want to stop fapping). This reminder is can be something that creates urgency in yourself to not allow this filtering of sexual thoughts. examples of reminders that you say in your head.. "COME ON!," "NO!," "FUCK YOU!" "I WANT THIS!".. It helps saying the reminder fast and loud"

Please don't fight. We're all friends here and the enemy is fap and porn. We have to use all our forces against fap and porn.

The writer of the article sounds like a really cheap person who wants to justify her getting money for selling
Her body and trying to shift all responsibilty and faults to men as also insulting and demonizing men.
I truly feel sorry for any man who has to endure her. Her "profession" now , sexologist, concludes that the article was written by a person not famous for her brains. Good job tanja rahm, keep deceiving yourself so you can sleep at night.
