A genuine thought, how does sex on TV affect rebooting? I’ve watched a couple of shows recently which feature sex scenes, one quite explicit. I didn’t feel aroused while watching, just uncomfortable and possibly some guilt in there too.

I suppose the question is- can I watch regular TV, sex scenes included without risking my reboot. Obviously, should they become a turn on and lead down to thoughts of M there’s a problem, but day to day?

    Any thoughts?

You’re playing with fire. Stay away from anything of that nature. You might not be tempted now, but sooner or later you will.

It has to be said that I didn’t seek out these shows knowing they had sex scenes. My wife was sat with me and was even joking that I should cover my eyes until she told me it was safe to look. Which I have stared actually doing.

I guess rewatching Game of Thrones is out for the time being anyway!

  4. If such things come across you on TV, it would be appropriate to choose not to look. Because there is no difference between watching the TV Show's S.. scene and watching the P. But i think you didn't relapse brother. Don't worry about it. Just be aware of this... If you ask me, I would say it's been a long time since I watched TV series.

I think the best way to answer this question is with an experience:

A friend of mine who suffered severe PIED decided to answer this very question with an experiment. He would watch light sexual scenes on TV once a day for 30 minutes, for a week and then review how he felt. By only the 2nd day he complained that he felt lazy/lethargic, a strong urge to eat junk food, tired and restless. To be clear, he did not partake in masturbation or O in anyway, he simply viewed erotic scenes. While a short erotic scene isn't quite as bad as this experiment, the message remains the same. Steer clear of any sexual scenes. To the members stating it will not do any harm they are very misinformed.

    Good luck.
