rebooting

    I've read stories about people needing to "reset" after 200-400 day streaks.

    I just want to understand why there's a need to reboot after such a long period of time? is it psychologically sustaining?

    I mean I understand the need for the ticker, so we count our days and all, but if we focus on maxing out our counters, don't we create the need for us to reset by making mental recognition of the counter?

    I know these questions are hella "meta-physical" in approach, but some insight would be appreciated.

    I see your perspective. I guess I was looking at it as it's all a numbers game. but what I'm slowly learning this time around that it's more of getting out of your own head and experiencing reality for what it is, rather than counting the days till you can beat your dick.

    I'm still finding new things about this, and what I know is I need to be patient.

  3. IMO, the counter puts a face to the addiction. For some of us, relapsing will forever be a dangerous opportunity for binging. A counter is our sobriety coin and this community is our AA.

    This is a secret, silent addiction going un checked and not being held accountable. The counter puts a face to the addiction and shines a light on this dark part of our lives.

    For those simply rebooting for general health and all, ya a counter is probably not needed after the goal is reached.

    Some of us can never go back though.

    I'm P free from may, M Free from september 2014 and i have sex this september one month with one girl, but on cial*s... So, i still have a problems. No hard morning wood, and if i touch my self i can'c feel reaction, under my hand:( bdw, i'm alcohol, tobaco, weed and shugar free month and half, i praktice sport, i drink vitamines, minerales, omega 3 a lot of wather and more sport every day and i'm still no happy :(
