After going 93 days successfully PMO-free, I relapsed about a week ago. I have since done it a couple more times, feeling more ashamed each time. The little voice in the back of my head is so persuasive. I want to ignore it, but I can't stop thinking about. If only I had had the prudence to come to noFap during these times of weakness. Fortunately, I am here now, and I plan to break my record exactly 94 days from now. I'm so glad that the noFap community is so supportive, because I don't think I would be able to do this otherwise.

Sorry to hear about the relapse you've been having the past week. Do not waste any more time! I went 41 days, I was very proud and made some awesome changes, felt great too but then had a slip and another slip and before you know it a week was wasted, then a month and I'm officially in my bad habits. 41 days was back early July and I'm still struggling to get into a good grove. I can't image how much of a change you made after 90 days and I know you're excited to go 94 but take it 1 day at a time again. Don't look too far off or your addict mind will rationalize "... Meh, that's too long, too hard, remember that fun skip u had before? Let's just do it one more time."
Go for it and waste no more time getting back on track.

Don't look at it as a waste! Even in a successfully fought war there are blunders. I'd say that's 93 days of victory with a small hiccup...and now you're set for another campaign bound to be even more successful.

Dude. 93 days is amazing. You did a lot of great work on your brain! Relapses happen. (I'm told. I've only been at this for 4 days.) I don't think the " yourbrainonporn" guy even likes the term. You are most likely much healthier now than you were 93 days ago.

93 days is never down the drain! It did miracles to your brain! Imagine 93 days WITH porn, and the damage that does. If you gve up however, then it is down the drain. But you are still here fighting!

Thanks to everyone for the inspiring words. It really means a lot. I certainly did notice my attitude towards women change as my brain healed, and I don't think that's gone away because of the relapse (especially since I've gotten back on the horse). I'm very grateful for that. The fact that so many people are able to fight through this problem together on this forum is great, and I'm glad we're all able to collaborate here. I know that I couldn't do this alone, and I think that's true for a lot of us.

I posted just yesterday my relapse after 39 days (almost 40). Even though I had to reset my counter, I feel positive I can beat that. I suppose sometimes you lose a battle but win the war.

Well, that's what I am aiming for!

  8. By no means you should say "down the drain"!

Rather you had 93 special days, which have given you a rich experience !

In this is journey of recovery from addiction it is all about progress and not perfection. (3 days is way more than I have ever done in year and you should feel proud of yourself. It has been a great progress and it has brought lots of changes to your way of thinking. So do not feel defeated or discouraged. even if your counter has to be reset, you are not resetting it on zero but from 93 onward. So, no self-pity or discouragement. Just pick yourself up and keep fighting, soldier. Good luck
