Relapse in mindset during reboot?

Do you ever have a relapse in mindset?

For example, it’s day 1 of your reboot and you have sworn off porn for the rest of your life. You are confident in this decision and you are aware of why you are doing it. You have decided that a happy life is incompatible with pornography.

Then maybe a week rolls by, or maybe two. Then you start to question your decision and wonder what new videos are online.

How can a mindset be so confident and seemingly final, but then feel so insecure after a week or two?

    Thanks,
    -Zombie

Look for me what really make me make strong decision are
First love i mean by love someone who i really love and i want to be free for him like a bf or a gf your wife or partner or God or even yourself
Secondly realization i have to realize why i am doing this and why i am fighting i should have strong reasons to stop PMO
Thirdly a support group like nofap who you dont want to let down

  3. I can relate to this a lot. My mindset always slips and causes me to relapse. The brain will try to rationalise and trick you into relapsing, the best thing you can do is to write down why you want to quit and the consequences of your addiction and re-read that whenever you feel your mindset slipping.

  4. I agree with what others have said about having strong reasons for quitting. However, sometimes the biggest reason is still not enough. One of my reasons for quitting PMO is because the porn industry is evil. I remember the day an actress I watched passed away by suicide and I felt disgusting for supporting that content. Yet only 2 and a half years later did I manage to reach past 30 days without porn.

What I mean is that you must be committed, you must be sure in your heart that you are right in your reasons to quit. There must be no doubt, no compromise. As the days go by, those will only increase and lure you into relapsing. Your motivation must be air-tight.

  5. You have to remind yourself the reasons why you WANT to quit watching porn. Also, activities would help you a lot in your journey, going outside, sports, et cetera. You should give it a try, 30 days, no PMO, but remember, the 2 first weeks are always the most difficult.
