I just relapsed after 108 days...I did M (without P), I was doing edging, i knew it is a double edged sword still i continued and relapsed...I reached my 90 day target on 16 oct...my next target was to reach 1st jan (i.e 167 days). Right now i am not feeling that bad which i earlier used to feel when i was addicted that feeling of guilt, sadness etc is not present right now may be i feel it at later stage...anyways...I am happy that i've just M twiced in last 6 months. Now i have a challenge to fight the chaser effect which will become hurdle in coming days. Also i am P free from almost 150 days.

    Reason for Relapse:- Fantasizing, Edging.

Next Target is to not have anymore M in this year. So target is same i just have to reset my counter which i am doing now.

I've recently relapsed after 18 days attempting a 90-day reboot. It took me 4-5 days to recover and I PMO'd three times.

Day 2 was absolute hell for me and I almost didn't get through it. Since then I've been doing a lot better.

http://emergency.nofap.org - visit the "Relapse" section. It works best if you just take what you need from it and move on.

Stay strong. It's good that you aren't getting too down on yourself.

    Keep your head up! :)

    @krazykhan

i had a relapse after 104 days hardmode. finally the pressure in my head was far too strong.

but i started a new journey - this time 60 days hardmode.

for sure we made important experiences during this period of abstinence and our poor brain had a healing rest.

so the fight goes on! beat the pornmonster!

Bro, Porn ain't a big deal no more so far...i have not watched it...and have watched some clips on whatsap but it didnt excite me.. You know in my case too...i was on hardmode...and the same experience of sexual frustation...but it was 2 weeks back...today i could have avoided the relapse but its ok. The only way to make progress is to beat your own target of yesterday :)

the relapse was also an important experience. that was my first time.

i watched about three hours porn and fapped several times.

since i started nofap i have a brute migraine. i tried everything to cure it - no success so far.

like i said before: the fight goes on!

Yes bro i agree relapse is important also...we are not machines we are human beings..when we start the streak our mental state is different and it is completely different on the day we relapsed. Like you said Fight goes on! Coz its the fight between our unhealthy version and the healthy version that we want to be, if we relapsed one day so what, the other 90 days we have been under total control. Let this setback be a minor and keep fighting !

I just had relapse too and I want to be PMO free for a lifetime. Aim high as much as possible is kind of my principle. Don't worry you did a good job. Well done for standing up again. :D

  9. Hey, my last relapse was after a streak of 89 days. In my relapse time (about a week) I think there were three or four orgasms, but none of them with porn. Then I started again and now am back up to 18 days. So all in all it's still been over 100 days without porn.

I think porn is particularly destructive to our brains and how it perceives healthy sexuality. It's possible to "relapse" (M and O) without diving back into porn.

I agree with this statement .. for me personally stopping masturbation has helped me quit porn. And for me it was porn that I was loosing 20 hours a week two.

  12. Do look into meditation and service activities. These two things together with some community music can really change the direction of life.

    Krazykhan,

First off, congrats on such a long streak without PMO. I think it's important to keep things in perspective that once you've made it such a long time, relapsing definitely isn't the end of the world. The most important thing is that you've probably made tremendous progress in rewiring your system.

I'm at day 65 and looking forward to making it to at least 90.

If you were to go back to the moments before you relapsed, from the perspective of someone who had made it through 108 days, is the strategy to overcoming the urge at 150 any different than overcoming the urge at day 5, 10 or 20? I had significant urges around day 60 and it took everything I had to resist.

Do you now feel better/worse? After a certain point, is it worth just letting down your guard and allowing yourself to reset the counter just to feel like you're not constantly in a battle resisting temptation?

Again, congrats on your long streak!

I'm in the state where I want to PM and I'm thinking about it but just observing it for what it is, an impulse. I know that if I follow the impulse there will be consequences. If I wait it out the impulse will eventually dissipate, I'll go on to something else until it returns.

Shit happens. We fall. Get back up. Do a better job.

If we had beautiful women chasing us trying to get us to please them sexually we probably wouldn't have this problem. For me personally, it's Rosie and her sisters or nothing. Fucked if I do, fucked if I don't.

    It ain't that easy!

Just reset my counter. Starting again.
I swear this was my last reset. So all in all 108 days of streak and 14 days of struggle relapsing and if you ask me if i am still struggling was all this worth it? I will say yes, definitely, i am much better, my brain is much better than before.
