Well I PMO'd last night, had about 75 days no porn but MO'd a few days ago just kinda to see what would happen/how it would affect me. I'm back on the wagon now and hopefully can stay strong and do this again. Honestly it wasn't even enjoyable like it was before, I mean it felt good doing it but the climax was shit and i was just left feeling like wtf.

Anyway I've got a question for y'all who have made some time clean then relapsed like I did. Did it put you back at square one? Like did you lose all the benefits you had gained so far and did all the urges thoughts come flooding back like they were when you first started? Or was it more of a minor setback that was relatively easy to recover from?

  2. It won't have put you back to square one by any means. Going over two months with no PMO will have worked wonders for cognitive rewiring, but you'll probably notice some of the more obvious benefits dampening somewhat. You should still feel far better than you felt when PMO was a common occurrence.

I am actually interested in how you feel in a few days. I have a good streak going but now I feel like I am not in the "mindset" like I have been lately and I can easily relapse. I also have the same feeling like you had of a "hmm.. what would happen if i..?"

I am afraid because I don't want to break my streak and start over. I briefly looked at some P a few days ago but i did not MO and i am not sure if that had an effect on me or not.

How are you doing today at least?

dude, i just made it it to 60 days, I miss counted at 58 actually, anyhow, YOU ARE NOT AT SQUARE 1.

It is this kind of thinking that undermines the whole PROCESS. Think about it, for 75 days you didn't watch porn. Relative to your whole experience with NoFap thats 1 time in 75 days.... Just keep it up. Don't look back.

I pmo'd like 3 days ago. I feel totally fine, in that, nothings really changed. The counter is a counter on your screen. Just be right back at it, and life will feel normal again in no time. The struggles and urges have intensified for me, but it's the same old fight. This time though, you no more. You've been around the block.

Don't throw it all out. Remember what you've learned. Do it again. Grow as person. And keep distancing yourself. The benefits... you can lose em or keep them it's up to you. As long as you maintain what got you to 75 days your FINE

I quit with alcohol for three month. When i relapsed, the beer didn't taste the way it was before. Not good, so i took it as a good sign, that helped me stop drinking again a lot.
Nice to know it's the same with P - thanks for sharing your experience. It helps.

Take it a day at a time. I made it 131 days until I relapsed, I lost it after running into some images of P. I found if I start thinking of the future, specifically the far away future I panic because I won't be able to handle it. It might be a good idea to think about now at this very moment. If you can handle it now then you will be able to handle it in the future. Don't let the future become the reason you can't do it now. If you think you are going to fail then you are going to fail. If you are optimistic and ask yourself why you want to succeed you will be more likely to do it. "You will always, everywhere be able to kick the habit." Good luck on your journey!!
