Remember Why You Came Here

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Fallacious D, Oct 8, 2019.

  1. If you are on this forum then you know in your heart what is right for you. The fact that you found this place to begin with is a success. Keep that in your mind at all times.

And don't ever forget the darkness that you found in pornography, whether it took you months, years, or decades to see it. That first time you clicked on a porn website you gave away a valuable part of yourself, and the only way to redeem that sacrifice is to never go back.

Tomorrow I'll be three weeks free. If you're not there yet, push yourself every step of the way. If you're ahead of me, I'm coming.

  3. Sorry mods forgot the rules. Just wanted to cheer people up and I know that they usually go to success stories for that. @LetsGetStarted thanks man, I'm not a good speaker but I was feeling a bit poetic. Let's do this!!!

You can do this bro. Pick yourself up, stand, and re-examine yourself. what went wrong, what could you have done better or differently, and how will you avoid this in the future?
And Pray for God to give you strength, temperance, and fortitude; temptation and weakness aren't a good mix.

For starters its these thoughts . . Iv tried alot to battle them but theyr just too strong. The only thing i could fight them out was with this forum . . I wud get on this forum the moment those thoughts would take a toll on me and thus divert attention . . But some how they grew stronger . . I wish there was a swipe button in the back of my head and i would click to swipe all temporary though flashing in my head .
But anyways the counter has been reset . Day 0

  10. The only thing you can't control is your heartbeat and your breathing. Scratch that, you can control those too. My point is, you can stop whenever you want, you just have to fight hard. Your brain wants that reward, even if you know that it's not good for you. And it will trick you into making excuses for relapsing, so you have to catch yourself!

Definitely not back to square one with a 20 second MO without P. The MO itself will hardly set you back at all, the only issue you've got now is the chaser, many times I MO'd on a streak, felt bad about it and used it as an excuse to pmo, then binge. Get back on the wagon and avoid binging and this MO wont even matter in the long run. This is a reset, not a relapse, massive difference
