Hey, I've (very) recently started trying to lead a PMO-free life, and at night, where the urges are the worst, I'm finding that the urges are fairly easy to resist, but I just feel very restless. Whenever I felt restless like this I would always PMO, and I feel like I've wired my mind to thinking PMO is a natural part of my daily cycle and must be completed before I fall asleep. I've tried working out (albeit not that hard), I've tried taking a bath, and it's 2AM after a long day and I'm still restless. Any advice?

Push through it. Be happy if you are just restless. If the addiction gets worse it turns into crushing insomnia where you only can sleep a few hours per night.

How you feel now? I think meditation can help you

  5. Exactly this. It does get better with time. In my experience some nights i'm out like a light. Then like last night I fell asleep then woke up wide-awake for about an hour then went back to bed. Just ride it out man and plenty of exercise as well.

I've been meditating and taking walks once in a while, and that really helps to clear my mind.
Yeah, I've realized this is the best way to get through it. Thanks! :)

Please don't give up. It is the most uncomfortable at the beginning, when your brain is trying to figure out 'why haven't porn being watched yet?' But it gets easier as you go.

in my personal opinion, also stay away from sleep-aids and such, because one becomes habituated to use it to sleep after a time. These should be used sparedly and are no substitute of healthy habits like exercise and turning electronic devices before bedtime.

The first ten days are the toughest. You have to fight.

Yeah, I'm avoiding those for the same reason I don't drink to get over a girlfriend, because I know that's an unhealthy way to get over the pain and you'll eventually become dependent on them instead of actually addressing the issues you have.
