Returning to my better self

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by chiyu, Sep 5, 2017.

  1. I'm just posting to say hello and go on record that I will pursue healing here. I have read several threads over the last month and they have resonated with me since I have had similar experiences. Many years of a kind of slow-motion escalation has led me to what I feel is an undeniable crossroads, where either I will regain my positive self, or I will spiral into a truly self-destructive path.

I am already two weeks into my first attempt at a reboot so we'll see how that goes, but what I feel is most important is that something deep within me has clicked, telling me it's time for me to turn this part of my life around, along with related issues I'm dealing with. Thanks for letting me be part of this community and expressing myself. I'm not sure now much I'll post but I will be reading alot and hoping to gain wisdom from others.

Hey @chiyu, welcome to Nofap! I too have had similar experiences here, and my porn use too has escalated quite significantly over the years. Browse around on this site for some helpful information. Glad to hear that you're in your first two weeks, and wish you all the best.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

  4. Thanks both for the nice welcome.

  6. Good info, thanks. Well I made it 19 days on my first attempt at reboot. I started to feel some hints of change in just that little time, but didn't succeed in hitting my (first) goal of 30 days. Starting over today. Onward.
