Reverse transmutation?

Generally it seems people are thinking in terms of transforming sexual energy into a higher or subtler form of energy, it occurs to me it may be possible to work in a top-down way rather than just a bottom-up direction. And whereas in the bottom-up way some may have the ultimate goal of complete sexual abstinence, the top-down direction would imply it serves some kind of relational union. It is arguably just two people who relate on a spiritual level and then that also consummates in a physical way, where that is an embodiment of the relationship rather than for the goal of sex alone. I suppose we might also say it's sexual energy for the sake of the relationship rather than a relationship for the sake of having sex. Does this track with anyone here?
