Rlapsing again and again

    I need some tools and handels ... I can not do this :(

    It is really hard.
    I did not expect this to be so hard.
    What kind of tools are you using to stay strong?

    I just want to kick this.

    2) Cold showers
    3) Regular exercise
    4) Help other people
    5) Do household chores
    6) Read books
    7) Eat healthy
    8) Stay hydrated
    9) Take up a new hobby

    The list goes on...

    It's not easy man, but don't ever give up!

    your goal (30 days) is good for the beginning.

    try again and again.

    meditation and sports are very important for me.

    Hey man, you can do this.

    First I recommend you think about want you really want your life to be after you beat the addiction.

    Quitting PMO will leave you with a hole in your life. If you don't fill it with something positive you'll fill it with another addiction, even PMO worst-case-scenario.

    So set a goal to be a beast at something you like, and start working toward it NOW.

    It doesn't matter if it only mildly interests you now. It doesn't matter if it's being a bodybuilder or a nerdy programmer (with a good social life) :cool: or a businessman or...

    The point is to give a positive meaning to your life, other than fapping in front of the screen.

    Even if quitting seems hard now, when something greater motivates you, your reboot will be a natural side effect, plus you'll achieve something meaningful.

    Also, in regards to specific techniques, I've found habit-tracking to be a game changer. Feel free to check my journal (link in my signature) if you want to copy exactly how I do it.

    By the way, I agree with NoBrainer. This is what I do to give you an idea:

    It can be done and helps a lot. Anyway the main stuff is what I told you about a greater goal and habit-tracking.

    Focus on the benefits to be gained from losing the bad habit. Be clear on the consequences of continuing in the habit.

    I'd love to give you a concise list of the benefits but I'm working on that for myself.

    When the benefits strengthen and the consequences begin to weigh in before indulgence, make a commitment. Totally resolve to kick the habit. Be willing to pay any price. The price will be the pain of saying no to the impulse. Pay attention to what happens when you resist the impulse. Gradually the space between the impulses increases and the intensity lessens.

    Never compromise. One yes destroys a ton of no, no, no's.

    If you fall, go back to the top.

    Hey potvis,

    A lot of the advice above is on the money. Certainly meditation tops my own list. I will say this though. If you set yourself a long list of things to keep track of, it may be intimidating in the beginning.

    I'd suggest simply sitting quietly, twice a day, for ten minutes and paying attention to your breath. Don't worry about changing a whole lot else, if it stresses you out. Be gentle with yourself, and start to be okay with the status quo, while you simply learn to meditate. This gentle, loving approach will net you the most enduring results.
