For those of you who have been were I have I am now, I am seeking advice! After 58 days no PMO'ing, I have just watched PMO today, ending my consecutive 58 day streak. I made it this far by learning from others, and if someone has something insightful to share, I'd gratefully love to hear it. Thanks yo.
You have done well, thats fantastic. Now, Challenge your self bigger things. Also, I would suggest to track your time that you would need to invest in hobbies, interests etc. See the change and also the value you add to your self. That;s important
Don't think of this as a failure. If you move forward and get another long stream of 58 days you can look back and say I only PMO'd ONCE in 116 days. That would be no small feat and a HUGE achievement. We've all been struggling PMOing several times a day so this beats it by miles.
Like people said here - Still love yourself mate. 58 days It's really good score but be careful after relapses you can easily go back to PMO streak... but if you made it so far it only proves that you are really strong so why you can't beat that? Good luck with your road!
Exactly, I keep 2 main counters. 1 is a consecutive streak and 1 is a running total. If I see the consecutive streak reset at least I can fall back on the long term counter. Don't let a short term slip up mess you up. Keep one of each. Admit your failure but don't let it overshadow your success.
Stay strong and don't let the chaser effect chase you! Don't go on a binge man! You've done an amazing job! Not many people come this far in the first place. God bless you, peace
I want to echo the above posts, 58 days is a victory! You haven't failed, you just passed the end of a major success and are starting a new one. Never let the slip up overshadow the victory!
Yes, Always get back on.... immediately, not tomorrow, not next week.... immediately after you make a mistake. That is when you truly win. I failed when I slipped up and let it last days or weeks. I succeeded when I got back on 5 seconds after I screwed up.
Great thread, and I agree, it's all about progress, not perfection. Going fifty-eight days is no small accomplishment. Hell, I am still struggling to get to thirty days. By all means, don't use it as an excuse to binge, but also don't be too hard on yourself. Now see if you can make it past 58 to 60 or 90 days.
Don't look for perfection, look for progression and positive outcomes. You have achieved much of the latter.
