I would say self esteem is the value in which you assign yourself. lets say for example you think your a funny person, you can use this quality to assign yourself value. self esteem isn't always a good thing, you never want to think even subconciously i am better or worse than that person. rather a better aim would be to see yourself as equal, invaluble, or divine. we all are equal, we all suffer, we all question our value, we all have bad thoughts. why judge yourself for something you wouldn't judge someone else for?
    welcome to spirituality haha
    hope this helps!

  4. Interesting question.
Valuing yourself as human being. Caring for yourself as you might care for a child you loved- not wanting to spoil them but wanting them to thrive and prosper and assuring them what bullies or other negative people might say to them does not matter, that there is always one who loves them. Valuing yourself to thrive without the validation of others - this doesn't mean being selfish or narcissistic but that your value as a human being is not up to other people's judgements, good or bad.

  6. Self-esteem is the value you give to yourself. The self-esteem is important because if you think your value is low or think that you value nothing, then you become sad (depressive most of the times) and this is not productive in any way.

I think we all need to have the "good self-esteem". Treat ourselves with respect, have self-care, be aware of our defects and still accept ourselves, not thinking that we are better than everyone and vice versa.

  7. Yes. Narcissism is actually a sign of low self esteem.

    Self esteem doesn't really exist

Self image ...... how we perceive ourselves is usually influenced by how others perceive you

Everyone is unique and you could be the toughest bastard that ever walked the earth but if nobody likes you loves and all you deal with is hate and emptiness your self image will be affected

Self esteem self acceptance is pretty much the same thing but humans being social haerchial beings self esteem and self acceptance is usually influenced by were we believe we stand and how others perceive you.

Narcissists have very low self esteem because they feel interior something has happened to them were.they never felt good enough and they manage there self esteem by manipulating people and scenarios so they are never hurt. But they do it by inflicting damage to other people.

Self esteem is rooted in biology your life experience and also in societal norms etc

Everyone has issues with self esteem in some regard no one is an almighty God but if they were they probably had self esteem issues that got them there

The way you perceive yourself is not always how others perceive or treat you but how you treat yourself is what matters
