Can semen retention improve performance in sports? What is the explanation? Thanks.

Semen contains many nutrients ,sperm-is know as seed in Greek likewise semen also contains nutrients like seeds.
It largely contains water so when you ejaculate there is a production for another ejaculation and so you lose energy as nutrients are used to make more semen,so that’s why it is important.
So it will improve your performance not all at once after many days or weeks or months

Excessive ejaculation drains energy and weakens your strength.

Regular excessive porn watching releases lots of dopamine, thus will make you less motivated for exercise.

I will say for my own part training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I don't necessarily feel better while sparring or competing on a streak compared to not on a streak. That being said, I find it immeasurably easier to set a training scheduling (training, lifting, cardio, diet etc.) and to stick with it while on the streak. Over time that adds up in huge ways; a bit like sexual compound interest.

I always have what I think is a healthy skepticism about the more mystical / grandiose claims about retention. I'm not saying they're not true; I'm only saying I can't verify them for myself. But I can absolute speak to my experience, which is that I feel like discipline comes almost second nature on a streak, while after a relapse it's a constant struggle getting up to run, doing homework on time, not eating ice cream etc.

On my longest streak about 65 days or something i set one personal record after another in the gym. I had more energy, better concentration more discipline and better sleep. All these things led to better performance.

It does. Over weeks and months though. Patience is the key remember. just take the flow of nature release only to a person you love forget about pmo for good same for self stimulation or mind stimulation. Just set a goal and see how it works things do improve slow and steady wins the race

Got to tell you read about Mohammed Ali, he was a man who his trainer said ''has the ability to control his sexual desire'', you can see his power not just in the way he fought, but in interviews when he is talking and thinking so fast and rhyming - this man was a NoFap King.

Agree with you totally, one habit feeds another, feed the good and starve the bad.
