Hello, first post here. I have been an addict since I was very young. I’ve always been interested in girls and never went through the “they have cooties” phase. I started my PMO cycle when I was a little over ten years old, and masturbated pretty much every day until me and my wife got together when I was 17. The difference in our sex drives and my masturbating between has caused issues for a long time now. More recently it got to the point that my wife told me I had to work on it or we would have to divorce because she can’t handle the stress of dealing with it anymore. So that is why I am here, trying to fix myself so my wife doesn’t live with the same problems from me that my father had (his were even worse). Thank you for listening and any advice is appreciated.

  4. Hey @Lifelongaddict,

Trust me, I know all too well how this addiction can grasp you. I started around eleven when I was a year older than you were, and I'm now seventeen. I'm glad that I was able to recognize porn and masturbating as a problem as early on as I have so I can fix it before it has too large of an impact on my life.

I'm also glad that you're here now, that's what matters, that you're trying to fix it and that you recognize it as an issue. Congratulations on being a good man, and wanting to better yourself for your wife.

You might consider starting a reboot log here, https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php#reboot-logs.8. That way you can gain support, keep track of your progress, and keep yourself motivated to push through this. It's going to be a long, hard journey, but it'll be well worth it.

I would also suggest reading some success stories under the "Success Stories" section, it really shows there not only that NoFap works, but just how well it really does work. People have said it literally changed their lives for good!

Good luck! Remember that the NoFap community as a whole would like nothing more than to see you succeed! :)
