Around a month ago I was having an abnormally high heart rate during arousal, so I started NoFap. The first couple of weeks were extremely difficult and actually increased my anxiety. But I fought through it and used some anti-anxiety medication to help relax me. After around the two-week mark I started to feel a little bit better. Today I was having a pretty good day. And then tonight I had a little bit of leakage and it caused a severe panic attack. Why is this happening? I never heard of this before. Has anyone else experienced this or heard of this?

The only thing I can think of is that I'm extremely sensitive to the adrenaline that is released during arousal/orgasm and it's causing panic attacks.

Taking away any addiction is extremely stressful to the body and mind, some of this stress adds to your anxiety.

Anxiety is a common withdrawal symptom and can come and go throughout the reboot but it should eventually fade if you have no other mental health problems unrelated to nofap.

Hey man! Withdrawals are common while doing Nofap, it might be so stressing in the first two weeks but then it gets better, from my experience I found if I give in to any trigger it increases the stress of withdrawals, try to avoid any leakage. About the panic attack, I think this is from long time of PMO consumption which by time the symptoms increase and the amount of stress increases. edging (being aroused with sexual objects/fantasies) for a long time in a day is super stressing and will cause extra symptoms. You are doing well, just keep going forward, have enough sleep, avoid caffeine, and avoid any trigger as possible as you can. Good luck!
