Sex isn’t bad, it’s porn and the misconception of normal sex that’s the issue. Have sex with your girl. Just don’t masterbate to porn or watch porn.

 

Does it bring you closer? Do you feel as though you are valuing and respecting her or more like you are using her in the way that you use porn? You probably know better than anyone else what is going to help you overcome your own particular struggles with porn. My wife and I would only sext (or similar) if we are away from each other for long enough that neither of us would want to wait that long without being sexual. But the key thing for us is that the use and exchange of any imagery would be simultaneous for us both, we would interact in some form throughout, and all of the imagery or materials would be deleted afterwards. Otherwise, it is a solitary and lonely act and too similar to PMO (ie if I was tempted to reuse a picture without my wife's knowledge). If you are struggling from death grip or PIED, DE etc, then you are probably best avoiding all M altogether, whether or not it involves your partner's input. In that case you need to retrain yourself to enjoy the touch of your partner.

 

Think about your goals and what you are trying to accomplish. If it doesn't go against your plan, no problem.
