Sexual Haze

In trying to stop porn addiction or addiction to other sexual stimuli, for me it's been quite easy avoiding triggers all around the internet and media, but when these triggers are lewd enough my mind seems to enter a "sexual haze" with an adrenalin rush, train of thoughts obsessed with erotic stuff and the absurd need to MO, but even after breaking out of that altered brain state my mood gets altered enough that after trying to focus on other things my mind goes back to that rush and "finishes" anyway.
    So the question is, how to break out of that mindless state of horniness when it happens for GOOD?
     
  2. You have good to push through it. It is not going to be easy. The thoughts we think are quite habitual as many things in life. So after some time they will become weaker and weaker.

    In the beginning you should detect the trigger everytime you have a porn thought. Even a thought can be a trigger, but did something else provoke that thought? Awareness is a good method to defeat this weak mindset!

    When that happens you need a state change, A whole body slap in the face., so to speak. I suggest a cold shower. I have experienced that state and it is always after an escalation in fantasising and or maybe some edging. I always found that it was never actually possible to go back to baseline after I got that horny, so I would just carry on, finish and start over the next day. Preventing that escalation in arousal is key. Avoid triggers and be aware of cues, nip the craving in the bud otherwise it is not only the fleeting craving for pmo you have to resist but also the craving for actual sexual fulfilment, way harder. There is no ' for good' solution to it, you just have to do it every time.
