There are many people in this world who are sexually aroused by bestiality and other things that most of the people would consider rather extreme and unnatural. I personally don't judge as long as one doesn't hurt another one. But this is one of the few places ( be it testament to this community) where you can speak openly even about the unthinkable which is awesome and I applaud you for your honesty and courage the same way as I applaud this community for receiving you kindly and with respect you deserve. I have seen it all, the most extreme things you can imagine or not, legal or not and I have suffered the consequences and I'm in peace and at much better place now.
I am one of those who would also tell you that it is very likely to be a porn induced fetish as so many other people who on their nofap journey realised that they indeed are not gay or zoophile or else. I am not saying that these people do not exist, merely that it is very likely you are not one of them. You are 16, right? And you look up to Francis X and until recently you had considered yourself to be zoophile. How crazy is this world? And what a baggage is it to carry on the shoulders of a young man such as yourself? Obviously you strive for genuinity, authencity and the truth as you should be. Considering the context of your question, you are radiating unexpected level of peace and acceptance and I applaud you once again. It seems that within yourself you are ready to be whoever you are. And yet you insist that it seems to be more than fetish, that it gets romantic. Well the question is what does it even mean romantic? I mean if I love my brother, does it make me gay? The same apllies if I love my father or even Jesus Christ. I for instance truly love my best friend. He's my soulmate and I would die for him without a single thought and yet I do not consider myself gay. And if for instance my dog died, I would proudly speak about my love for it - for my most loyal friend for decades to come. Many of us consider dogs an equal family member, nothing wrong about it. Does it make me zoophile? I don't think so. As long as it is about love, you have nothing to worry about. And congratulations to your progress.

Just follow your feelings and don't be shy to act on them. You are not any of these labels and you don't need to prescribe yourself to any of these. Do not overthink this. Just accept that you are unique and that mainstream sucks

 

Yeah, I see now how my choice of the words could be confusing. I definitely didn't mean that you should be acting on your sexual urges. Right the opposite actually, in my experience clarity to many questions in life comes after long period of sexual abstinence. What I was trying to say here is that the truth about who you are and your sexual identity will never be found in the mind. You will never understand it by thinking process. Therefore trying " to figure this out" doesn't make much sense to me. You are a spirit having human experience and feelings are the language of the spirit. For that reason the truth about who I am can be found only in my heart, it is state of being, it is an experience, not a mental construct. But I'm talking here deeper than experiencing mere emotions and physical sensations. I'm talking here about much more profound feelings, about your connection with the god and life itself which I usually feel most once my mind is silenced. And I'm sorry. I should have explained myself better.

Yes, I think it is healing from long-term Nofap and no P. I am finding similar changes in my sexual feelings evolving to what is normal. In my experience that makes sense! You were originally attracted to an abstract concept from the porn (furries), then you're sexual interests become related to real life (the dogs), and now you're reverting to the basic attraction I'm assuming you had when you started puberty (or before you ever watched porn).
