I saw someone expressing concern about moving on from a dark past of viewing less than wholesome media.

I want to say while shame and guilt can be healthy in a certain light, in the sense of compelling one to change their bad habits to good ones, toxic shame is never healthy.

So when you feel shame for watching content online you did not create, just blame the people who made it and uploaded it online. Like how can you honestly blame yourself for something you did not produce?

    The internet is a monster.

The best way to avoid all three of these annoying things in this thread title is to kick PMO for good.

I have shame from unwanted sexual behaviors that did not involve perverse media for example. Such as using escorts and violating pictures belonging to people I know.

This shame is healthy in my eyes, as without feeling ashamed what would stop me from repeating them?
