Shaming and blaming people for their porn/sex addiction

Porn/Sex addiction is a taboo to talk about, but it is more common than we think. These days a lot of people struggle about it, but not so many people are open about this, because of shame.

I have struggled with sex addiction (porn, prostitutes, swingerclubs, sexparties) and always felt a shame about it. The shame is mostly gone, but sometimes it is still there.

I found a nice quote that suits this:

What makes the simple act of shaming or blaming people complicated is the knowledge that they each had a specific history, and the more we know about it, the easier it becomes to understand why they did what they did. - Richard Holloway, Godless Morality

Shame isolates people. And when they seek help or want to talk about it, there are very few venues to do it and few resources on how to overcome it.

If you know any books or websites that talk about it othee than these forums and your brain on porn I'll be grateful if you could share them!
