I'm 16 and I'm wondering if I should continue to do Nofap, or just do not using porn. My longest streak has been 178 days without fapping, but I noticed after the first couple of days, I was miserable. Since I'm a teen, would it be wise to cut out masturbation, or should I just limit it? I'm horny 24/7, and I don't feel like suppressing sexual feelings at my age is healthy. When I get horny, it's more of a feeling of, "I need to ejaculate" rather yhan a feeling of "I want to get some momentary pleasure." When I don't fap for a couple of days, I'm extremely anxious and depressed, and that's how it was the whole time on my 178 streak. Should I just fap in moderation? Thanks

Hi @Kai101, wow the number of days you've achieved are amazing. People on this site would kill for those stats.

You've got to answer that question yourself. What are you doing Nofap for?
If it's to quit a porn addiction, then you can still masturbate (though masturbating will make you really desire porn, and you're likely to relapse).

For me, porn is a no-go. It creates awful imagery in my mind and changes the way I see the world and the people in it. However, I don't see Masturbation as evil, but unfortunately it's difficult to masturbate without fantasising about stuff and this 'stuff' ends up being just as graphic or negative as porn is. So that's not good.

If you could find a way to focus on your own pleasure rather than negative fantasies, and orgasm, then I'd say this is a great goal.

I don't think I'd be able to to masturbate without falling back into porn, so I'm probably quitting PM forever, and my orgasms will only come from sexual interactions with a real person.

Well, i'm 14 and okay with NoFap, but honestly I can't say different from what sayonaraPMO said, good luck with whatever you choose, I'm here for you aswell!

The thing is Kai, that whatever narrative seems right to you (basically what you have said above), is all thrown in the air because of your addiction to porn. If you were a teen that looked at porn once in a while and masturbated when you felt the need to release that may be alright. But you are not. Your addiction changes everything. It may seem odd, but it's true.

For example, why do you get so badly anxious and depressed after just two days without ejaculation? That has nothing to do with the need to release (even if that is what it feels like). Those are withdrawal symptoms because your body is craving another "hit" of dopamine. I encourage you to avoid porn and masturbation totally as two sides of the same coin. When you genuinely need to release your semen, your body will see to it and you will have a wet dream. So, no need to masturbate.

Quit porn, it will not offer any kind fo benefit to your life whatsoever and well you're pretty young, you'll avoid a lot of problems that older people face with P.

Regarding M, that's a different issue, many people here in NoFap would tell you to not masturbate... ever... but I would say that M is a natural thing for human beings if you feel that you need to fap because you don't have acess to sex then once in a while won't harm you, but you should be careful to not let it become a habit or a way to escape your problems.

Thanks. I'll consider fapping

Nobody should tell you what to do except you for yourself. Maybe you first find out what your real goal is, and then you think about how to get there.
What counts against masturbating in moderation, if you feel better with that?

I'm wondering if it will be beneficial if I just do easy mode, where I just fap and dont look at porn. The reasoning behind this is because I am horny 24/7 and I dont have a way to release my horniness without fapping. Are there any benefits to easy mode?

Everybody has a different view on what "moderation" actually is and this view is subject to change. For example, if you masturbate just once a week, you may find that to be no longer satisfying enough and so you up how frequently you do it. This is another path to becoming addicted again, especially since you're a teenager. While there could be exceptions, your (and my) age group are not exactly known for self-control.

You may even start to find just masturbation not satisfying enough and so porn enters the equation.

I, personally, do not advocate porn and masturbation in the slightest, so my main answer is going to be ABSOLUTELY NOT. But of course, the choice is up to you. However, if you do so, you risk becoming completely addicted again, assuming you were when you first joined. If you weren't, then you simply risk becoming addicted.

What you're feeling now is temporary. I first joined NoFap at age 17 and that year was quite brutal. But now at 19, I can safely say things are a lot better.

I also feel it's worth pointing out that NoFap, to me, isn't about supressing sexual feelings, it's about expressing them in healthy ways. What's healthy for someone can also border on the subjective, but giving into the urge to fap like some kind of sweaty animal is the general consensus here for what NOT to do.

Sexual urges can be fuel for working out, for example, that's what I use them for.

To close, I think you're letting doubt and desperation cloud the reason why you started this in the first place. Yet what's important to remember is that you're suffering now to be in a better place in the future.
