Depends. What goals have you set to yourself. What is your experience. Reset is good option, but if that makes you depressed (and causing another relapse) then carry on but keep in mind that if you repeat it again that is addiction and deserves to be called a relapse

  3. If it was only a quick 5 minute peek, give yourself a break, but learn from it and know that 5 minutes could turn into a full blown obsession again.

I agree with the comments above. 5 minutes is 5 minutes too much & could lead to a full blown relapse.

I'd suggest you frame this in a positive light & treat it as a warning: "Hey, pay attention - look how easily you can start looking at porn!"

At the end of the day, the number has to motivate you. My gut says don't treat it as a relapse, but warning lights should be flashing. You got close to the edge.

What's your plan of action to break the neck of this habit for good?

    Power!

Most of us here can do hours at a time.

    One day at a time.

    Forward we go.

    Courage!

Yes. You are trying to stop using porn. Five minutes is entirely intentional. This was not even a p/sub. You might be on day two, but you have been attempting to recover from this addiction for 9 months. You must be strict with yourself or you will not get anywhere mate. Saying, I only did it for x mins is just rationalisation - another symptom of addiction. You know it!

  8. I would say it's a reset. I have been having problems with this exact kind of thing. When I did this thing in the past, I would lose the benefits the next day. Looking at porn without touching gives us a lot of dopamine which can strengthen the addiction and leave us feeling crappy hours later. It's a good question mate. I would reset and never repeat this mistake again.

Bad news? Meh. Get real, your day has neither been this challenging nor this significant. NOW MAN THE FUCK UP AND GET BACK TO IT.

If you beat this addiction the next target will be beating your feel-shittiness. It will come, patience, BUT STAND UP AND FIGHT, SOLDIER.

I'm going to tell you the best thing I can possibly tell you in this situation, and I wish someone would've told me:

Your bad news?It just doesn't matter! End of story!

You were determined to fail because you didn't address this properly. You've undermined your addictive behavior by looking at porn, and then you blamed your addictive behavior on something else... bad news... which is really just the straw that breaks the camel's back for an addict... not the catalyst by any means. As long as you excuse yourself and blame someone/something else, you will not succeed.

All the best to you... take full responsibility and take it seriously. You can do this if you want. More bad news is waiting around the corner. What will you do?
