Ok, not sure if this is the right place to post this since I'm new to the forum but this is the short version. I'm 19 years old virgin and did NoFap for around 30 days. After 30 days I was about to have surgery on my foot thumb nail. (I had this surgery before a few years also not so big problem.) But I didn't sleep the whole night before the surgery. During the day I felt like shit which is normal. The next days sleeping was hard. I slept like 3-4 hours during night and 3-4 during day. Rebooting the circadian rhythm was hard. After 1 month I still haven't fixed it I sleep for 4-5 hours during night then I start waking up every 1 hour until I have around 7-8 hours sleep. Of course I relapsed from all this anxiety and stuff but I still couldn't handle my sleep (I started doing PMO a few times in the week). I was really depressed of all this. I only take some pills for vitamins and some Valerian root. Now I take also some anti-stress pill every night before going to bed they also don't help. Forgot to mention that exercising is also not really helping.

Is all this connected to me trying to do NoFap or it's just some other issue :/ ?

So I'm absolutely not motivated to do NoFap or any other thing. If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you for your time and sorry again if this is not the right place to write this.

  2. Insomnia can be brought on by a lot of things. I was usually a light sleeper anyway...but since nofap...forget about it. I’m lucky if I get 4 hours. If I really need sleep I try to knock myself out with Tylenol pm or NyQuil which is usually hit or miss. Be careful with that stuff though because it can be addicting.

I hope it goes away sooner or later...but if I have to lose some sleep to get this out of my life then so be it.
