I've read all the Song of Ice and Fire books, and I watched the show for several seasons, but I can't really watch all that crazy sex and nudity without having a relapse. Is anyone here master of their domain enough watch GoT or similarly graphic shows without loosing control?

The books are at least as graphic as the show, but it's not as hard to resist the urges with the books. (men + visual stimulation, etc., etc.)

Too bad. It's such an awesome show.

Game Of Thrones is not the kind of show anyone serious about rebooting is going to watch. No artificial sexual stimulation!

Yeah. Too bad. I'd really love it if I could get to the point where I could watch GoT and control myself, but it is just insanely graphic. I don't know if I'll EVER be that cool.

There will come a time when you'll be able to watch it and enjoy it simply. I trust we will reach that point where these kind of stimuli will be an information like any other information in the script! Now that's a goal to achieve isn't it?

The enjoyment is directly related to the inverse squared quantity of spoilers that you'll be bathed with until then, though

Nope. I quit watching a couple of episodes into it, even though I liked it.

Watched the whole show and never relapsed. Season 1's the worst when it comes to sex and nudity. The later seasons have less sex scenes. Can't remember any overly sexual scenes in season 5. You see breasts sometimes but that's it. There were just a few scenes that actually started turning me on on the show. You just have to know how good your ability of controlling your urges is.

Maybe so @Red Eagle. But it is a porn sub! Consequently, that requires a reset every time you watch it. Furthermore, it is not simply a matter of whether or not you relapse. There is the whole matter of sexual objectification. All of us are trying to disabuse ourselves of that way of thinking. So, watching a parade of boobs, butts and pussies isn't going to help, is it!

Yes, I guess you are right. But I didn't watch it for the nudity. I didn't even pay a lot of attention to it. If I watched Game of Thrones does it mean I sexually objectified women? Most women who appear naked on GoT have complex personalities so it's not pure objectification. I personally would have prefered GoT without sex and nudity. I didn't want to watch it in the first place due to this very reason but I had enough people telling me I miss out if I don't watch GoT and I did watch it in the end. It was the characters and the story that kept me watching and not the nudity. Many movies have scenes of a sexual nature to some degree. That would mean I can't watch a whole lot of movies. Recently I watched Terminator 1 and in one scene you can see Linda Hamiltons breasts. Does that mean I can never watch Terminator again?

Wait, so if I look at P without the MO, I have to start over? Is that how it works?

It's up to interpretation. I went on the NoFap subreddit 2 nights ago and some idiots posted gifs of girls stripping. It was an accident and I closed the page so I did not reset my counter. Some people watch porn but don't MO and don't reset their counters. I'd say this really is a grey area. The other day I wanted to see one really funny scene with Eugene Levy in American Pie 5 and accidentally fell on people running the naked mile, naked. I did not stare nor wanted to PMO and did not reset my counter.

It's up to you, my friend!

I started watching the show a few years ago with the wife. I was PMO'ing at the time, of course. To me, while I was PMO'ing, I wasn't triggered by that show. That was "softcore" to me. But my wife was pissed at the amount of sexual content. I told her that it was there to keep the mens happy to keep watching. Sad to say, but it's true. Every new TV show has at least a couple of pretty girls that are there to keep the interest level up. We stopped watching, when the wife had enough at season 3. She wanted to see the dragons, but there was more tits than dragons lol.

I don't think I would relapse watching GoT, but YMMV.

I really wish porn was like that! LOL I'd love to be able to watch porn, moderately (less than 30 minutes a day) and feel no desire to MO. If it did no damage to our brains, one could look at it as if looking at an art piece, a movie or reading a good book. But sadly, I have yet to find any scientific fact to back this up! :p

Because I'll be honest, after 16 days of abstinence, I realised it's bad for me to look at any porn or MO so I lost all interest in PMO and I'm starting to want a real-life girlfriend more and more because of it. But some girls (only the ones I've been following for years), I really wish I could keep following their careers without MO, as if looking at the newest pieces by your favorite painters or reading the newest books by your favorite writers. It's too unfortunate porn has to cause so much damage...

Porn is not a piece of art. Those girls are making money off your(ours) weaknesses. Even if you consume free porn, these "actresses" are making money with their pay site anyway. And probably profit from amount of viewings....

There should be three kinds of men:

-Those woh are not in a relationship and are "discharging" once in a while...not all the time.
-Those who believe in a steady relationship (GF, Married, long term true to each other) and have real sex with the same partner.
-Those who have more libido, or are "free agents" that want to have sex with more partners.

The Porn addiction, is for the men that don't have real sex and/or are wanting more, and/or don't want to cheat but need more variety or frequency. Sadly, we are "dogs" lol...now, let'"s try to control ourselves instead of letting our primitive brain guiding us..

After all, dogs will empty their bowl even if they are not hungry anymore until they puke...binge...cats stop when they are filled. Lets be crazy cats men!

As sexual content has become more culturally acceptable/permissable in recent times, it's been included in a lot more media (like HBO). Why? Because it's a really cheap and easy way to grab people's attention. That's all there is to it. So when I see a show with a lot of sexual content in it, I have to think about it and it causes me to lose some respect for the show's creators. It's obviously just a filler, or a hook, to grab people's attention, which is annoying because it should grab your attention through the virtue of it being a good show.

If there weren't so many beautiful naked ladies on Game of Thrones, I guarantee you that such a show about swords and dragons etc wouldn't have gotten nearly as popular as it did. (Not that I don't like swords and dragons, but it usually isn't so popular with the mainstream.)

    It's just easy money basically.

As for me, even when I am fully recovered from PMO, I still won't watch GoT because I don't want to have the images of so many naked women in my mind when I am trying to love my partner. That's why modesty has always been such an important value in cultures throughout time. Without it, men fall victim to constant comparisons which damages their relationships.

For those who still want to experience the story and characters read the books. Sex scenes are described in the books but they are more rare than in the show.

Lol, I should have expressed myself better. I meant that the girl's bodies are pieces of arts. And yes, they do make money out of our weaknesses and I despite girls on cam sites for this very reason. They swallow porn addicts of their money and live a life of luxury making more money than I do, being an engineer and discovering new technologies that will change the mining world forever. Yet, these girls make more money talking and MO, it's ridiculous. Our world today really is fu***d!

Mmmh, all three are tempting... lol But if you want my honest opinion, I'd pick number 2 in a heartbeat over any other. I miss love more than I miss porn and if we can satisfy ourselves sexually in the relationship, I'd have no reason to seek number 1 or number 3! I don't have the biggest libido ever so I'd see myself being satisfied with just one girl. Even when I was PMO'ing, I was doing it once every 2-3 days ...some rare times, 2 days in a row. I was edging all the time though, I knew I wouldn't be able to have more before 2-3 days so I'd edge for hours. One big regret I have is that I downloaded so much porn, yet I watched so little of it. I was suffering from PE and it frustrated me terribly. I'm a big advocate of ''living your life to the fullest'' and I clearly did not enjoy porn as much as I wanted to. It was bad for me and on top of that I consumed it poorly. Oh well, it's too late now, gotta move on. And don't you guys get me wrong, I really want to move on, I'm just honest about having regrets, that's all.

Cat mens! LOLL That's what I tried to do for most of the years I spent PMO'ing but I never succeed. Maybe it's time to change my sub-class and become a cat man. :p

Yup, no.2 is the best option, as its statistically proven (at least I remember reading on it) that a man living with his wife and be true to her, will have more sex in their lifetime than the average single that f*cks when he can.

Also, reference porn downloads, yes. I also DL'ed so much porn I never watched again. Coolidge effect made me seek new stuff every time. The constant search was a big part of it. Many hours I spent in front of the computer instead of being with my wife in the living room right besides!!!!!!!!!!
Now, spending more quality time with her, I get more tail. And I found that become I need her for real sex, I'm more gentle and mellow with her. Before, when I was PMO'ing, I had my online sex whenever I wanted....and was less patient with my wife...how sad....
