So guys, how do you deal with unwanted wood?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by SmellySocks, Aug 29, 2015.

  1. I've found holding my breath is the most effective method - when you hold your breath the body goes into emergency mode, so all blood is syphoned from unnecessary areas.

So... Keep the mind busy works. Sometimes it happen, but it's normal. From my point of view, MO is OK. I say that for myself, so that's not a advice. Just don't fall for P or P Subs. I guess that think about the feeling itself makes it go away, that's a principle from budist meditation. Good luck :)

  3. Cool. I've managed to abstain from MO for 260 days, holding my breath has helped achieve this.

This won't work for those of us who don't suffer P but MO instead... we cannot recover from ED.. lol

I do the same thing as well and it always works.

  9. I don't do anything. I enjoy it, because it reminds me that I'm still working and functioning well down there. Honestly, appreciate every single erections you get. Don't take them for granted, because many guys are battling with ED and it is a damn horrible thing. Your erections are part of your humanity as a male.

Other than that, I just ignore them and proceed with my day. There's no need for me to try and get rid of it. Trust me, I've experienced ED before a few times. It is the most horrible thing I've experienced, especially when being intimate with a woman.

All erections are now welcomed and embraced.

Holding your breath sounds like a good method. Will try it.

Look at that wood and appreciate the fact that your penis is hard without forcing it. It's a good sign your healing and on the right path. Whenever I get unwanted wood it makes me smile because a few weeks ago I couldn't get hard from anything expect when I forced myself or watched P. Just turn it into a positive thought. I agree holding your breath also does help. Obviously, you get horny so it's good to get rid of it quickly. At the same time, embrace that horniness, if that makes sense. Just don't fap! ;)

you have made me realise something important.

There are people who suffer ED genuinely however we fappers who PMO or MO have created ED ourselves... i train and eat healthy and when i don't fap for 3-4 days i get a good boner (i am blessed down there) so am stupid for doing MO....

People suffer genuinely with this issue and we should have pity in that we have created it for ourselves...

Its pretty much self explanatory... no need to be rude

  17. Nope, not being rude. I simply said I don't understand what you mean. I felt you wrote what you said in a way that doesn't make sense... Was you agreeing or disagreeing?

you said many guys are battling with ED... I take it you meant people that got ED without fapping - through medical issues?

I was agreeing and was saying that those of us that fap hardcore like myself we have caused ourselves ED due to the damage we caused ourselves and that we should be ashamed as there are people suffering ED like your said.

I am trying reverse psychology on myself and others... does that make sense? I now know how what I said may come across confusing...

22 days in and I've probably only had 2 full erections in the last 10 days so I'm definitely not anywhere near the level I want to be and am in somewhat of a flatline. But the two times I have gotten it and the subsequent urges, I managed to control them due to turning them into positive thoughts and thinking 'Hey, my buddy is finally showing some life down there. Don't stop now.' Id say the best way to put it is finally seeing some form of light at the end of the tunnel, despite just a flicker. At the same time you must make sure you don't relapse and carry on marching down that tunnel because a relapse, however tempting it is at that point is somewhat like a disguised shortcut to the light that ends up being a big dead end; meaning that you have to make your way back to your original route, setting you back some time, but NOT to beginning as long as you don't binge. All very metaphorical but I hope you get my point.

A method that someone mentioned was to tense every muscle in your body; especially your leg muscles. I've done it once or twice and it kills morning wood in seconds, lol.
