Okay so, three weeks ago, I had a wet dream. Two weeks ago, I had a wet dream. This last Monday, I experimented masturbating without porn and was able to orgasm. I don't plan to continue doing it, but I just wanted to see if I could. Now this morning, I had a wet dream. Why are they so frequent? I don't watch porn. I don't engage and indulge fantasies when they pop into my head. Hell, yesterday and last night were very calm days with very little urges. I get that the body has to emit to keep things in order, but this often? It's frustrating and I can't find anything satisfying to explain this on Reddit.

Guys with optimal (high) testosterone may have wet dreams once or twice a week on NoFap. Most who NoFap and stick with it, end up having wet dreams once or twice a month. It all depends on your physiology. Semen will either seep out during your sleep or be emitted in wet dreams. You can't control it.

As you reset from viewing sexual material, your wet dreams may change in content, but no guarantee.

I've been rebooting for 19 days. No wet dreams. Except once months ago before I started rebooting.

I was on steroids, which is higher testosterone than humanly possible, while I did have frequent erections, I never once had a wet dream while on steroids.

I believe it's sperm, not semen that your body recycles absorbing the old sperm back into itself and making new sperm. The body has no need to emit sperm and certainly not semen outside of the body. This is a myth used to justify masturbation. Like when someone says, "I don't have a chronic masturbation problem I just need to clean the pipes every once in awhile".

I would have thought it was due to your fantasising or thinking about sex, porn, masturbating, orgasming, etc. That not being the case I don't know what to tell you? Part of the benefit of NoFap is not ejaculating and the physical benefits you get from that, having wet dreams sucks. I had one a few weeks back when I was on a 90-day streak, I felt pretty cheated, and I let it get to me. The best advice I was given was that "you are getting better and it's your bodies/brain desperate efforts to keep things the way they were". Soldier on and hopefully it stops happening so frequently, also if your sensitive down there make sure nothing is rubbing up against you exciting you while sleeping. Sorry I couldn't be of much help

Ok guys, first of all, let's make sure we are all on the same page here: WET DREAMS ARE NOT BAD. If you have any doubts about that whatsoever, ask literally any doctor. Ok, moving on.
Your wet dream frequency can vary based on a lot of things. Some guys produce more semen than others naturally. Drinking more water will make you produce more semen. If you have been a long time with no PMO you will have a build up. If you were aroused during the day without O you may have more build up. If you are in years of puberty you will have fluctuating hormones that cause more semen production. There have been times where I've had wet dreams two nights in a row, then two nights in a row again the next week. Then there will be times that I won't have one for months. Either way, it's ok. Wet dreams are healthy and natural. Your body has them at precisely the moment it needs to have them. Don't try to stop them. Don't feel bad about them. Don't reset your counter. Just keep on avoiding PMO, and your body's natural functions will take care of themselves.
