Soft Mode vs Hard Mode

    I've been abstaining for Pornography for ten days. I told myself when I started that I wouldn't cut out masturbation because quitting everything cold turkey is super hard. Tut that I would focus on porn for now and try and reduce the amount I masturbate. I still haven't watched any Porn, but I noticed that for the first week or so I only masturbated a couple of times. And now I'm doing it about once or twice a day. How do you guys get away from so heavily relying on masturbation? Any tips?! Going for 90 days with no Porn right now.

    For me MO is so tied to porn it’s really difficult to not slowly slip back into PMO if I MO.
    Here’s your key. Transform your sexual energy. Right now you’re bursting with energy you would usually throw away on porn, so you must find ways to exercise with it, create with it, go to events, go for walks. Pick up a new hobby, it’s crucial. Even a 20 minute walk will have you feeling so much better. When you keep yourself busy all the sexual energy transforms itself into other areas.
    Meditation works wonders as well.

  3. Congrats on 10 days with no porn! I will tell you from my experience, it is near impossible to quit porn alone. When I've done it, I just turn to masturbation way too much. Most importantly, deep down, I haven't given up the thing that is really the issue: worshipping the female figure and looking to the sexual approval of women to make me a complete person. I've come to realize that this is the core of my struggle with PMO, and what I must work to leave in the past. However, for me, this means cutting out both porn and masturbation, as with both activities, I am still fantasizing about women and looking to them to complete me as a person, so...they gotta go. However for your case, I would say cold showers and regular exercise help with using that sexual energy in better ways. Also ask yourself, why am I masturbating? Am I bored? Lonely? Frustrated? Knowing the real reason will help point out the best steps to recovery. Hope this helps!
