    Greetings fellow warriors,

I just want to tell of a few things that have helped me in my journey.
(I am only on a small streak now, but in the past I have spent up to 7 or 8 Months PMO free).

In my opinion, the first time getting to 90 days is the hardest. And be aware, that getting the 90 days will not magically cure your ailment, and make urges disappear. After my first successful reboot (summer/fall 2016), I fell again (winter 2016), Only to regain my footing (summer 2017), only to relapse again (winter 2017), and on an intermittent cycle up until now.

Having been addicted since 12 or 13 years old (and plunging deep in early twenties, when I had my own place and internet) what really got me out the first time was doing something called a "Conservation Corps". I highly recommend looking ups "Youth Conservation Corps" through AmeriCorps if you live in the United States, and you are between the ages of 18 and 25 (which I feel like a lot of users on here are young adult men). Basically you camp and live outdoors for 3 to 5 month periods, and do physical work on National Forest Land, such as forest thinning, building hiking trails, etc. If you are not in the US, maybe your country has an equivelent, seasonal outdoors job program in forestry, or agriculture.

It is perfect for those of us who are suffering from PMO addiction, as well as general Internet Addiction Disorder. You get unplugged, and in Nature the soul is restored. Plus, often times I was too tired to even think of M'ing, or also you are in a sleeping bag in a tent so you do not want to ruin your sleeping bag with an emission.

More generally, I would say, if you are constantly relapsing and can't even get to a week or so without PMOing, you need to dramatically change gears. If you are young and unattached (no kids/wife to take care of), you need to save up a bit of money and go on an adventure. My longest streak (second time being really clean after the Conservation Corps) was when I lived out of backpack for 5 months, volunteering on farms (look up WOOF program), staying at hostels, backpacking in the woods, camping, and attending a Permaculture course.

Being On The Road (read the book by Jack Kerouac) you have to prioritize, and decide moment to moment how you are going to make it to the next town, whether you are going to get in this Craigslist Rideshare with these people, where you are going to sleep. And thus you cannot get caught up in fantasizing or lust thought patterns. I got to experience really "living in the moment" a lot, and I ain't no Buddah, but I feel like I got a taste of the Higher Path.

So if you are stuck in some dead end job, or if you are about to graduate school, but can take some time before commiting to an employer, may be you can put your "three sheets to the wind", and go travel, embrace life, do some psychedelics, and find a passion for life.

Much of my Malaise with this PMO addiction comes from stagnant energy: just bumming around, no ambition, no passion, almost asleep while awake, just on auto-pilot, and just using PMO as a mental balm for your wounds.

So get out there, and get a little crazy.

Also, since summer 2018, I have gone back to a flip-phone for $20 a month instead of a smartphone. This helps dramatically with urges and NoFap, because, now I have to boot up my computer (a laptop which I also keep put away in my closet) and that amount of effort and time discourages my urges. (whereas when the smartphone is in your pocket always connected, PMO is just a few swipes away.)

Lastly, this may work for some of you who are at a transition point where you can change gears, but also:
Work Construction, or other intense job.
Idle Hands are the Devils workshop, and I have recently been working between 50 and 60 hours a week in the construction field, which is a physically demanding job.

This usually wears me out, and I often come home, cook, and go to bed. This leaves no time to get on the computer, and thus no temptation.

I have found it was the times I was unemployed, directionless, listless, and at home alot where I fell into PMO the most. So for me, staying busy is a good solution.

People are different though so "know thyself".

Still struggling, with all of you here, but it gets better.
