Some words of Encouragement

Hey guys, I just wanted to share with you something I've learned during my NoFap streaks. I know rejection can tempt us to relapse, but it shouldn't. I go to college with some of the most beautiful women in the country, and I am not intimidated by them. I want to tell you that you aren't defined by your looks, no matter what the world tells you. When you look at porn, you perpetuate the mindset that looks ARE the deciding factor. Whether or not those are your intentions when you look at porn, you are feeding into that worldview that appearances are what should be valued the most.

Think of it this way: imagine there's a pie chart, each piece is something you find valuable in yourself. Is the pie chart 100% your physical appearance? Chances are, no. If it is, I really hope something in your life changes. If we appreciate things about ourselves other than our looks, such as our sense of humor, our intellect, or our kindness, why do we then not hold others to the same criteria and only give them credit for their appearance?

This can be applied to porn and to interacting with real girls, but my point is don't ever let anyone tell you what you can and can't be because of how you look. The girls that knock guys down purely based off of how they look are shallow and someone you would never really enjoy being with to begin with. Watching porn supports that shallowness... and I know deep down we all strive to avoid that, knowing that if we go based off looks alone that we are seriously depriving ourselves of what could be a tremendously more fulfilling human experience.
