Hi guys, just wanting some guidance on a problem I have good reason to believe excessive masturbation has caused but am not 100% sure. Around a week ago I binged pretty hard, I forget exactly how many times I masturbated but it was around 5 times in the space of around 2 hours. In the days following this event my urination has been affected, this will be fairly graphic but if I am not clear enough noone will be able to help so here we go.

. I feel the need to go the bathroom a lot more than usual, on Sunday and Monday night I was literally waking up every hour to go.

. When I do go the "pressure" or "force" (if that makes sense) of the stream is extremely low, so I have to try harder to get it all out. This process can take quite a long time, the longest time was around 20 minutes or so of stop-start urination where it never felt like I was truly done. Some particularly forceful streams would be slightly painful albeit in an almost good way, as I would feel the most relieved after them.

. Most annoyingly of all, I will go, do my business, then within 10 minutes feel like I need to go again, with an uncomfortable sensation building up in the head of my penis that feels like liquid wants to come out but cant. This sensation is tolerable (ie I dont feel the urgent need to urinate), but it is straight up annoying and unpleasant to endure.

Now I personally think this is linked to the binge, as a few days after it these symptoms more or less subsided, and then two days ago when I masturbated 3 times in a 24 hour period (with all of the sessions being what can fairly be described as edging) I got them back again, and still have them now. I dont think this is related to me drinking too much or any other thing, on Wednesday night I drank half a large bottle of Pepsi (the kind of drink you would think would cause the most urgency being caffeinated and all), and yet I went to the bathroom once for a normal urination and that was that. I feel like the excessive masturbation is putting pressure on all the organs in that area and is causing this issue.

I just feel like someone on this site HAS to have experienced similar symptoms or at the very least have some knowledge of if I'm right or not. Due to my current circumstances which I wont get into, I cant just go to a doctor for a checkup, so please dont just suggest that. I really hope someone on here can help me.

I don't know much about prostate problems, but some of that sounds similar. Is that a possibility you've considered?

  3. First, stop jerking off. It sounds as if you have a prostate issue and jerking off while it’s giving you trouble is probably not a good idea.

21 seems young for a prostate issue but it can happen. May want to have it checked by a physician. Spoiler alert: checking the prostate requires the doctor to feel your prostate via your rectum, so be ready for that.

Yes, I think that excessive masturbation has put strain on the prostate and temporarily enlarged it, causing these symptoms, I'm not an expert but rationally I cant think of what else it can be, especially considering the symptoms go away when I dont masturbate as much.

I've had a prostate exam before and there was no issue, admittedly this was a good few months ago but still its worth mentioning. My problem with seeing a doctor is the last doctor I saw (who gave me the exam) was a dismissive asshole who didn't listen to my symptoms (this was for a different thing mind you) and fobbed me off with some pills that didn't really do anything. On top of that my parents were also dismissive and when the results came back that there was nothing wrong with me I just got chastised for worrying at all. Since then there haven't been any incidents until now, and I'm tempted to think that they would have only lasted those couple days if I hadn't messed up a few days later.

You should get a checkup if it continues. That said, probably related to the binge + dehydration. If lots of water, no caffeine and no fapping don't fix it in a day or so, you might consider getting it checked.

  7. I think you need to see a urologist or at least a doctor first, you have the option to get a second opinion with another doctor too. What you are describing is not normal bodily function. I would have thought with any kind of reproductive organ problem you would be required to provide a urine sample and a blood sample at least so they can make an analysis.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, last time I got these symptoms they more or less went away after around 3-4 days. Its day 3 now so if trends continue I'll be fine within a couple days. I'll also take your advice and drink more water and avoid caffeine as much as possible.

Yeah this is true, the one thing that puts me off wanting to see a doctor is the knowledge that in the past, the symptoms fade after a few days. Getting an appointment where I live is quite hard at the moment due to demand and I wont be where I am (I'm at home taking a break from uni) for long, making it even harder. My plan for the time being is to see if the symptoms go away by themselves like they did last time, if they do then this is definitely related to binging, if not then I'll book an appointment.

See a doctor buddy, just because you saw a doc about this before and it happened to be nothing doesn't mean this time it might change.

Thankfully in the day since I posted this thread my symptoms have started to fade, which I think proves beyond reasonable doubt that it was caused by edging/binging. Considering the waiting times for appointments where I live I wouldn't be able to get an appointment before I go back to uni anyway.

After doing a quick google search, other forums seem to suggest an excessive masturbation/swollen prostate link. A urologist would probably suggest letting wet dreams take care of things for you, to prevent the prostate et al. from being overtaxed.

Could potentially be weakness in your pelvic muscles, a surprisingly common problem in men who masturbate regularly. I'd recommend seeing a doctor again first and foremost, then venture into the broscience of kegels and see if that helps. It's also a possibility that due to excessive orgasms the muscle that prevents urination when you have an erection is tight and/or fatigued. Again this is pure broscience but I'd look into it

Thank you for the advice, but I would like to point out that I made the thread around 18 months ago and in that time the problem has mostly righted itself. I still very occasionally get issues but I think I know what the cause is (Its a personal thing so I wont go into it).

Not to be annoying bro but do u mind explains what you think caused it cause I have the same issue that happened to me twice and each time it’s been a grueling recovery, both times it happened from masturbating, I was wondering what you concluded it to be and what may have helped to fix it as you said your mostly good now which is awesome man, god bless

Well like I said I dont feel comfortable being too specific but I discerned that while it was being triggered by excessive masturbation, and cutting that out does generally sort it, the actual root cause is an illness I only realised I had long after I started experiencing the symptoms. If you dont have any long term illnesses then it isn't that.
