I'm going to post this several places. I feel it's important, thusly I'm gonna spread it a to a few of the other forum categories. This is not my original idea. Somewhere aboot all this info and postings I read it one day about 38 days ago and it was a game changer for me.

You go five days of not watching porn. On day six, your overcome with an urge, you PMO. You feel as though you've made no progress. You hit the reset button. Your back at Day 1. Life sucks. Your never going to change.
    We've all been here.

Get a spreadsheet. Put these failures into context. Your not on day 1. Though it may not feel like it, you've made progress. It's important to recognize that. Even going from 25 PMO's to 20 PMO's a month is something. PROGRESS.. Next month.. make it 15, or less obviously if you can.

Some people can just say, "oh yep, no porn for 90 days... no problem." They do it. Wow good for them, much props. The reality is, for most of us.. this is simply not realistic. Don't be naive and put that expectation on yourself, only to get into a cycle where you constantly return to day 1... and feel super shitty every single time. I did this for a long time.

You fuck up. Mark it down. Learn from it. Don't waste your time wallowing in self pity. The spread sheet shows you empirically just what your doing. I still keep the PMO counter, I like it that way. I still getta feel good about watching the number go up.. But at the same time, I know that on weekends I struggle with MO.. 1 can catalyze more consecutive days. That kind of thing.

This is a process. Not a one and done thing. If your the exception, cool, this doesn't apply. This is not meant to be a rationalization to giving into PMO. "oh well, I'm at 10 and I did 20 last month so 1 more this month won't hurt. No. If you come here to make the argument, your completely missing the point. Go away.

That being said. I'm not 'cured'. I am anything but. I'm pretty fucked in all sorts of ways, not perfect by any means. So I'm not here to preach and say ' oh look at me '... This is just something I know REALLY helped me, and is contining to help me. If I can spread what I learned, and it helps some one awesome.

For me, this helped me get out of the viscous cycle of beating myself up. I'd set unrealistic goals, inevitably fail, than beat myself.. It ultimately made me feel hopeless and like I was never going to change.

You don't just reach a magic number and become and some alphamale, top dog, super confident, poon slaying badass. You experience the process. You learn. You grow. And overtime, you stay dedicated, that may just happen.

This awesome dude made a killer spread sheet that I use. Just make a anoymous google account. Get it. Do what you want to do. If this helps one person I'll be happy.
