One of the major turning points for me in my reversion back to Jesus and His Catholic Church was in doing a complete overhaul of the type of media I watched and listened to during the day. This meant no movies with triggering content or blasphemy, and most importantly wholesome music that likewise didn’t have blasphemy or crude/vulgar lyrics. Basically, if I couldn’t picture myself listening or watching something with Jesus in the room then it meant it wasn’t for us.

With that said, I would like to welcome you to post your wholesome music favorites. It can be Church Hymns, Sacred Music, Classical, Instrumentals, or wholesome secular music.

I’ll go first!

Some pieces that take me back to my choir days.

I particularly loved singing William Byrd’s Mass for 3 voices

I also wanted to share this piece, which I find just absolutely beautiful.

The lyrics:

This guy is a bit more of a hippy, progressive Christian, but this is a song that always resonated with me when I was fallen away from the church. Looking back I think it was one of the few threads that kept me attached; it was God refusing to turn his face away from me, as it says in the Psalms:

I think this song is beautiful and inspiring, it transport us to the God's presence.
It made me cry just a moment ago because I remembered my most recent fall and I felt pain in my soul because of my sins.
