    Geeeeeeeeez. Just got a whopping urge that kinda came out of nowhere! I gotta watch out. That was surprising, and scary. I was just thinking an hour ago about how my habits have shifted such that I don't give a shit about P, so if I get horny I'll MO but have no desire to use P.

    Anyone have suggestions? I'm going to the gym right now as I planned earlier, expecting this to have subsided by return.

    14 days without porn - long ago that I made it that far. I am proud of myself and I will reward myself today.

    Unfortunately I didn't manage to stay away from MO. Today porn fantasies were flooding my mind. Porn is not just in magazines, on DVDs and in the internet, we collect it with our minds which can call it up at any given time.
    Anyway, I pledge myself to break my 10 days hard mode record from before, STARTING NOW.

    Back at day 1 again. Feeling quite shitty about it today. I binged last night and I knew it wasn't worth it. I've been here 3 years now and I'm no closer to giving up porn. Things need to change.

    My sleep routine is still shit. I just can't seem to go to sleep at the same time every night. It is holding me back a lot, almost as bad as the porn is.

    I'm thinking differently this time. I'm also doing a 30 day no gambling challenge this month. I enjoy gambling, it's a bit of fun.

    The thing is, if I can give up something I enjoy doing for a while, why is it so difficult to give up something I fucking hate doing? I'm sick of porn ruining and controlling my life.

    Alright, today is a challenge, but I am emerging victorious! I relapsed yesterday after waking up horny and not having taken the proper precautions of keeping my PC far, far away. The chaser effect is definitely a formidable foe.

    To whom it may aid, when I fall and relapse, I subtract days from my total. I subtract 3 days for the first one, then 1 for each time I may relapse after that. Amounts vary for different folks, 3 days I've found keeps me on point, not lax, and prevents a binge.

    It's a method I got from one of the episodes from the YBR podcast. The method: don't reset your days free to 0 after a relapse. This is for two reasons; one, relapsing once does not suddenly erase all the progress you've made by being off PMO for that period and two, that resetting to 0 days can really sap the motivation to stay strong, since you may say "what's another session or three, I've already reset to 0!". This "fuck it" mentality, I have found in my own experience, is counter-productive. Relapsing once doesn't undo all the healthy learning and associations, but relapsing repeatedly strengthens the already well-worn paths relating to PMO and attendant behaviors, environments.

    This is definitely tough today; I'm staying the fuck out of the house as much as I can. Since I relapsed, I've been getting mental flashes of video scenes. They go away with time.

  7. Relapsed earlier today after being of the site for almost two weeks. Wasn't being serious at all during this time so I'm surprised I got this far. Reason for not focusing on NoFap was that alot was going on in my life and didn't have time for it. Starting again, ALL IN!

    Same here, I'm starting NoFAP today also and will join the 90 day challenge! I tried to do it on my own but always relapsed, having a community will defenitely help! Day 5 tomorrow morning!
     
  14. 2 days now. Just going to start updating everyday from now on so I don't lose focus. Had some very minor urges today that I quickly pushed away.

    I don't know for you guys but personnally, PMO really cause insomnia! I had insomnia before but light insomnia and with PMO it got worse. It's like every night It's alternating good night sleep, bad night sleep, bad night sleep, good night sleep! When I'm tired like that at night or during the morning is when I'm more tempted to edge!

    Yesterday I let myself slip into fantasies and edged, but before it escalated I decided to stop immediately and I did some weightlifting. This happend two times. It seems to me that my testosterone-level was pretty high bc I could lift heavy weight.
    I hope this edging and stoping isn't bad for my health!

    From tomorrow I will have access to WLAN for 4 days.
    I won't use it after 9:30 pm. I won't use it in bed.
    • If I get the impulse to look for porn/subs/triggers I will use the my techniques to handle such urges.
    • If I act out that impulse and look for "hot stuff" I will shut down my computer immediately and do a work-out.
    Once a day I will come here and give a report.


    To everybody: I know your struggle and you know mine. I'm grateful that you're here for me!
