Starting a 90 day challenge today. Anyone wanna join?

  1. New update: As I said earlier I'm over 6 days in with no real urges. However not long after writing that I started getting quite strong urges and they have been going on all day. This was my first real challenge and I was definitely tempted. I just kept telling myself that I couldn't fail again.

    Today is the third day and my last evening all alone with internet access. At least my plan for tomorrow is to stay active all day long and finally go to bed directly without any delay.

    It was a risky undertaking but I mastered it like a pro :D
    I proved myself that I can stay abstain from the cookies even when they're in reach. And I didn't only abstain from P and all kind of subs, there was not one time when I entertained a sexual fantasy for more than a few seconds!
    However I think that was only possible because of 100% awareness and the daily reports and self-motivation.
    I shouldn't celebrate before Saturday btw. Then I'll be 25 days clean, God willing and I'll continue my no-internet-at-home agenda (Cause it's way too early to go back to normal internet access).

    I'll be back on Monday I think.

    Don't give in brother. You will be able to conquer mountains. And all failures should be treated as big granite blocks to step over rather than immovable infinite walls

     
  4. Update: Almost 7 days now and I'm feeling okay. Yesterday was a hard day because I was constantly being bombarded with urges. Up until then I hadn't had any strong urges so it took me by surprize. Last night I edged for about 10 seconds but was able to stop myself from taking it further. Now I really need to focus because I feel that if I give my urges anything I will slip further in and probably relapse.
     
  5. Thanks for the support brother. Thankfully, I did not give in yesterday; I am still feeling tempted but trying to keep myself busy. I know that if I give in now it may relieve me temporarily, but will only make things worse in the long run. And it won't even help temporarily haha, I know I'll feel bad right away.

    About to reset my counter. Not because of relapse, but because I moved back home yesterday. My wife and I have agreed to do the 90 day hard mode challenge starting from the day she let me come home. Still porn and masturbation free since 6/16/17 and technically hard mode since 8/2 (but we aren't going to "count" that). We also agreed to a relapse consequence (something that I read is very important to have once you confess and are open with your spouse), but I hope to never need it.

    As it turns out I used the internet pretty much today. As it turns out I'm still online - laying on my bed - mostly reading stuff on nofap. Unfortunately the thought of looking up "hot stuff" or even directly porn has already crept into my mind. Only thinking of it (without explicit pictures in mind) causes a rush in my head and some undefined feeling in my belly - before my dick even stirs.

    Two ways of dealing with it:
    1. shut down the PC immediately
    2. first write about it in the forum, then shut down the PC immediately

    I decided for 2)

    I'm already over 10 days hard mode, hence I beat my record of 10 days!
    And I made it 25 friggin days without watching P or any kind of sub!

    I will feel good now and I will go to sleep now, without another thought about "stuff".
    (The more one thinks about it, the more abstaining will hurt!)

    I'm at 10 days no PMO guys, I feel good! A lot of insomnia the first week but had good sleep the last 3 days! I'm more motivated than ever! I used to fight this battle on my own but now I don't wanna let you guys down so going all the way and don't leave no space for failure!

  11. Now starting day 6 of no PMO, feeling much better. I've been faced with the temptation to look at certain pages on Instagram for the past two days (including right now as I type this) but I keep fighting the desire to do so. Sometimes I just want to give in as I try to tell myself that it will allow me to relax but I know not to be deceived by this thought. I know I can do this, I will not fall again - It's now or never.

  12. Update: Over 8 days and feeling quite good. Yesterday was once again a really hard day with crazy urges but thankfully I got through it. So far, today has been no problem. Just gonna keep pushing until I've beat this thing for good.

    Let's do this!

  20. Update: 9 days and going strong. No strong temptations yesterday and none so far today. Day 6 and 7 were extremely challenging but I got through it and it feels great. To people who have relapsed recently, don't get to down and definitely don't give up. You have made progress and most people (including me) relapse many many times before they succeed. We can all beat PMO!
