Stopping Sexsomnia? Help please!

  1. Hello, hopefully you guys can help me with this problem I have. I have posted it in the forum before from another individual having the same problem but I want to revive it as I still face it now. This what I go through is called Sexsomnia. I don't know how it started(I'm thinking it after months of not ejaculating my brain is taking drastic measures) but I am having these episodes of waking up in the middle of the night jerking off. Sometimes I finish sometimes I stop in time before I finish. Regardless I don't know how it occurs. And its super annoying trying to be masturbation free and this keeps happening. To this day I do not like masturbation and i want to be free of this habit. Also note while this happens I am not even aware. Its like I'm in auto pilot. If anyone else goes through this please post any help/advice is appreciated!

    Try this:

  3. Listen...I appreciate your kindness and your advice. But no chant or prayer will help me remove this issue. I have vowed to remove all PMO(I have been porn free for two years) and I am trying to rid of masturbation but this sexsomnia gets in the way of me being clean.

    This sounds similar to nocturnal emissions. The reason why this is happening might be that you still have some sexual fantasies and bad thoughts you need to get rid of. Even if you don't act on them, don't let thoughts like that linger. When you have thoughts like that in the daytime, it can turn into sexual dreams. Practice controlling your thoughts. Just my 2 cents.

  6. Thank you and yeah your right I do have sexual fantasies still. But still I could be dreaming about fixing a car and i would end up jerking my dick. Its so absurd.

    I find that when I'm trying NOT to something, it's just amplifies it.
    Either consciously, or subconsciously.
    By trying to forget it, makes me think about it literally all the time.

    Try not to make it into something to be anxious of, because it will just grow out of perspective.
    If your mind is anxious, then you won't rest too well anyway, and it will just exacerbate whatever else is in your thoughts.
    What is your routine like before bed?
    What are you thinking about before you sleep?
    Are you on your phone or tablet or computer?
    Are you thinking MO?
    Do you drink too late.
    Meditation before sleep is good to calm your head down.

    I suppose that if you finish off in your sleep, then you have ejaculated in the last 3 months.
    But it wasnt a conscious thing, so try not to be too hard on yourself.

    Have you tried chanting the mantra?
    This dharani helped a lot of Vietnamese people.
    • Routine before bed I stretch. Time i go to bed varies because of work and other things...usually 11pm-12am sometimes 1am.
    • Before bed usually think about friends and school nothing sexually mostly
    • Sometimes on phone but its not often
    • I never think of MO ever unless im very fucking horn ball horny.
    • I don't drink.
    • Should probably look more into meditation
    I try not to be hard on myself I really do and you are right....but i just want a clean MO slate because I am 2 years porn free and I want it to be the same with MO. I don't like it I do not want to indulge in it because it personally makes me feel like shit. But then this happens and i feel like i am at fault for not be able to stop it when it does.
