Strength of urges vs strength of resolve

This far into nofap I get concerned not when an urge is particularly strong, but when I feel my will to fight it is particularly weak. Shifting this view of what or who is 'to blame' makes it easier to fight the urge to pmo (I think) because I have already taken ownership of my future actions. If I give in it is my own weakness, not the urges, that are to blame. I do not want to be weak, so I force myself to be strong. I have a lover (my wife) and so I have a healthy outlet for my urges. I have no desire to harrass or pressure my wife and so I either have sex (or other acts) with enthusiastic consent from my wife or I simply strengthen my resolve and go without. Last night this meant staying up late reading a really great book because I was horny and she was sleepy. I was physically tired but not able to sleep until the distracting sexual urges were put aside. But they could be, and without relapse or behaving in a selfish manner towards my lover.

I remember how strong urges were at the start of the process, but if you stick with it then your own resolve will become the stronger force when compared to urges. You can do it.
