This will pass, brother. There is a school of thought that doesn't view the anxiety, neediness, and restlessness you are expressing as an issue in of itself. They think of it as a location issue. The instruction is to imagine all of that angst is housed a bit below the belly button, its rightful home. So what you are feeling in your head, chest is worked with and gently imagined to be brought down into this area. It breaks a ton of chains when you view your anxiety and mental speed as a location problem and gently bring it down

Another skillful strategy I've seen expressed here is to use that energy towards something you know you will be proud of once it is done. Best of luck, brother.. a couple of success stories I've read put that 7-14 mark similarly as you have, so you are in good company!

In my mind when I struggle I always think of less fortunate people in the world that would gladly swap their lives with me, then I appreciate what I have and it makes the struggle easier. I feel like patience is a key element, the pain is the test, to pass it you must not cave and eventually the struggle will pass. If you do cave the pain will only subside for a while but it'll keep coming back. To kill the root you have to go through struggle, it is necessary. I like the Frederick Douglass quote "If there is no struggle, there is no progress". Sometimes you got to embrace the pain or find a way to distract yourself from it by constantly staying active.
