Swollen left leg after 12 hour edging binge?

    I already sent my test kit off, but I'm going to try calling the lab to see if I can upgrade the test to include everything possible. I don't think it will include everything you mentioned, but I might as well get as much info as possible from the test.

    I've been wondering about that. I had been using salt freely, because it is supposed to help with adrenal fatigue, but I cut it out (aside from the salt in prepared food). I was probably using far too much salt.

    I have read some articles that claim sea salt is ok, but other articles say it doesn't matter. Very confusing.
     
  3. That'd be a very good indicator honestly.
    The other markers I mentioned are Thyroid hormones and for that you'd have to do a blood panel. I don't know where you live so I can't say if you can get easily or if all of them are available in your area.

    Sodium is very much needed. I don't trust statistics like that. I eat a lot of salt daily makes me feel good and should make you feel good aswell. If you are Hypothyroid like me also a lot of water becomes a problem, a normal metabolism would easily manage but Hypothyroid have trouble.
    If the Sodium : Potassium ratio is not 1:1 (~~~~~~ around that number) then you experience non-natural (non-controlled Oxidative Stress, believe it or not some Oxidative Stress, primarily ROS and mROS production is required for proper functioning and may even be crucial. so on days when you exercise sometimes miss the antioxidents [this] [and this], as the oxidative stress that occurs has some of the benefits of it ^ linked above. This is non controlled and not good) Oxidative Stress. If you get adequate Potassium through OJ, ripe fruits, and well-boiled Swiss Chard, they quickly add up and you reach the target and have no problems. Salt is really good for you, it is just that the people who have a high salt diet also happen to eat like shiz. Or they have blood pressure problems, salt can both raise AND decrease blood pressure, really bad for it; so you would reduce the intake.

    Some oxtail soup with some Salt, Swiss Chard and some Jasmine Rice... Damn. Always warms me up well and relaxes me ( no lethargy )... really good stuff.

    If the Potassium is adequate you should have no problems

    The test was 4 dried urine strips over the course of a day. Here are the abbreviations of the things on the requisition form: Trp, 5-HT, 5-HIAA, GABA, Gly, Tau, Glu, Gln, His, HIST, N-MeHist, PEA, Tyr, Tyra, DA, DOPAC, HVA, NE, NMN, Epi, VMA, Kyn, KynAc, 30HKyn, Xanth, Crtn, FCx4, FCnx4, Crtnx4, E2, Pgdiol, AlloP, D, Adione, T, Epi-T, 5a-DHT, 5a3a, Crtn, I, Br, Se, Li, As, Cd, Hg, Crtn

    It appears that it doesn't include melatonin, epinephrine, and norepinephrine (NEx4, Epix4, MT6sx4) which are available for an extra fee. It does include "Epi" already, but it doesn't include "Epix4" which is weird. It seems that all the measurements should be "x4", because they are working with 4 urine samples.

    I hate to try to upgrade the test kit after I already mailed it back to them for fear of messing up whatever my sister requested.

    Stop writing your symptoms and go to the hospital what if your writing your symptoms and BOOM you have a heart attack or a stroke and than your family or paramedics comes and see you were writing your symptoms on nofap cuz your addicted to PMO

  13. The veins of the legs work against gravity. The only way they can bring the blood back to the heart is if we're moving around.

    So were you stationary throughout these 12 hrs?
    Did you move your right leg but didn't move your left leg?
    Was there any swelling around your left testicle?

    I frequently got up to make another cup of decaf coffee and urinate. My left hip, leg, and foot have had problems for many years. The left hip joint is loose and I have arthritis in my left knee and recurring tightness in the muscles from the hip down to the foot. For example, when I get foot cramps at night it is always the left foot. I probably sat in my chair somewhat asymmetrically too.

    There was no swelling in the left testicle that I noticed.

    Thanks, the swelling in my left leg went down after 24 hours.

    My reason for starting this thread was to give an example of how PMO addiction can damage our health and to see if others have experienced this swelling.

    ignore anyone that is making fun of you, it takes a lot of courage to share such secrets. You seem to be willing to want to change, so we should help not shame.

    my left leg also goes numb if i edge for more than an hour, i am sure in the past i have done like 6-8 hours at night, now i barely ever edge, but if i do it's no more than 2 hours

    first of all, don't lay still the whole time, move your legs around every few minutes, change posture a bit, this prevents your leg from numbing

    now onto stopping edging, this will be a controversial answer, but for me, my initial solution to fixing edging was downloading porn that i was satisfied enough with, i was very picky with porn (still, but less), so i downloaded my favorite stuff, and if i were to edge, i would use those videos. The reason it worked for me is because i was edging to find the best possible videos, hmm i like this one, but theres 80 pages, surely there are better videos, let me put it in a tab and open it later one by one... that was my logic. So by already having videos that i liked, it decreased my porn viewing time

    i did this until i was comfortable enough to delete most porn videos except my favorite one, used that one to do the job. later deleted that one too (but then every few weeks i got into the cycle of downloading it again and then deleting from the guilt)

    also important, is to make sure u are busy so that u simply dont even have the time to masturbate for 12 hours. As well doing something that makes you tired before sleeping, like doing push ups, so u literally have no physical ability to masturbate, you just want to sleep, this will also help you with the sleeping issue.

    Those sound like good ideas. Definitely a factor in the binge is the search for the perfect porn video. Another factor for me is the search for the most pleasurable edging plateau possible without ejaculating. Unfortunately, in the process I reach a point where I am not enjoying the edging but there is no good way to end it. An ejaculation gives me about 24 hours of depression and brain fog where I can't accomplish much. On the other hand, merely stopping the edging without an ejaculation leaves me too sexually frustrated to accomplish much. Sometimes this happens if I edge too much before work in the morning. For some reason, I forget that edging results in this trap, so I go there over and over again.

    When I was younger, I had friends who took LSD and I would join them. Then after the LSD kicked-in I would remember that I hated the way LSD made me feel, but it was too late. I would be bored out of my mind and unable to sleep with every second seeming like an hour waiting and waiting for the LSD to wear off. I kept thinking that if I could only remember how much I hated LSD then I would not take it next time, but somehow I would always forget and do it again. It's like I couldn't really remember the feeling of LSD, because it was so alien to my normal experience.

    In some ways that is how the edging keeps trapping me into these 12 hour torture sessions. In my normal state I can't remember what it is like. I forget how bad it was last time.
