Hi everyone. I wrote this to one member and realized it might be able to help more people. I'm not an expert but I want to know what people think of it. Its kinda like how I made it so far this streak and I feel so clear-minded about wanting to stay clean. I figured it would help someone who wasn't sure how to "jump in" and start to participate in the forums

    So here it is

If you want to stay clean then here's an idea of how to work a "NoFap program". Its kind of a simplified form of what I did every day since day 2 or 3.

You do this on a daily basis since there are always new threads. It is the minimum and you can always do more. Try to do it earlier in the day, so it gears your thinking to be in recovery that day, not in addiction that day.

For each of these sections, you could read (5) threads, and then write whatever thoughts or feelings arise for you in a post. Don't worry about being perfect or saving anyone's life. Just think about how you would support someone. And try to identify with what the other posts are saying, rather than compare. Look for what you have in common with them not as much as what you have different.

    1) New to Nofap - this section will remind you why you're here.

    2) Relapse and Reset Reports - this section will remind you that you don't wanna relapse again. (stay clean)

    3) Reboot Section - This will give you some sense of the reboot process and prepare you for what is to come.

    4) You could pick 5 other journals besides yours, 5 posts in self-improvement section, or any other section, or mix and match.

    5) Answer any alerts from last time.

    6) Post in your own journal.

    7) You can do as much more than that as you want!

If you do this routine each day, I think it will help you stay clean. Try not to always pick the threads with the least posts. Maybe go for an average of 4 posts per thread out of the threads you choose.

Anyway it's just a template. Over time this has changed the way I think about PMO. Not to where I can go off on my own and be done with it. But to where if I work it that day, I can stay clean that day.

Do you think that would help?

Thats what I wrote in @The Strategist 's thread and I wonder if people would have other tips on how to work a "nofap" program.

@PMO addict I think this is a great strategy! Thank you for sharing. I do a modified version every morning and it does help. I check messages/alerts; read the journals I follow; read a couple watched threads if there are new posts; comment on the journals I follow; and update my own journal. I find it really helps. Thank you again for sharing and have a great day! Also, congratulations on 29 days!!! :)
