Hey guys, I'm sure there's a thread about this topic on this site somewhere but I couldn't find it so I'm starting another one about it. I'll just jump right in, I have been experiencing erectile dysfunction since my porn/masturbating problem started about 9-10 years ago. I still get morning wood an average amount of time and I can even get it up when masturbating, but only for about 30 seconds and only if I am extremely focused. This has wrecked havoc in my sexual life as the guys (I'm gay by the way) think I'm not interested or turned on and I almost always don't feel any pleasure from sex. My theory is that it's a combination of over-use of porn and masturbating that I can't become stimulated by physical sex, as well as a lot of anxiety I have. Wanted to know if these things are common or if you guys have any similar experiences and any recommendations. Thanks!

  2. Hey Luke, yes this is a very common occurrence called PIED (Porn Induced Erectile Disfunction). I am not sure how much you have researched or investigated the NoFap forums but there is a ton of information about it here at your fingertips. I would highly recommend you watch "The Great Porn Experiment" by Gary Wilson on YouTube and read more on the website "Your Brain on Porn". As you will see there is a lot of information but it is very important that you understand how PIED works so you will know how to recover from it. If you want info specifically on PIED you can find it here. I am also here because of PIED. I know it can be devastating but, good news, there is a solution. It takes commitment and some time but you will find a big community of like-minded guys here on NoFap who can intimately relate to your struggle and from whom you can get advice and inspiration. You are not alone in this. If you have any questions just ask.
